Thought would start a thread for articles and such so Stan won't have to wade thru these in his grading as suspect this to be busy topic. Here is one so far. Would be curious to hear if this course has changed any since 93. As with over 20 players busting par it does not seem too demanding, however I realize over there weather has a lotto do with it.
If possible maybe someone could post good weather link for area near course.

When Sandy Lyle won in 1985 he was 2-over-par, but there had been wind that week. As far as I remember, there was little wind when Norman won in 1993 and it had definitely rained the night before the final round as it softened up the green and enabled him to shoot the 64 to deny the once-mighty Nick Faldo.

We were watching this today and had 2 friends who had debate on who had the easier job.The guy that designed the course or the superintendent who keeps it in form. I was asked to settle dispute and my answer was neither but said I laid claim it was the officials--as they could delete out of their books any rulings on water hazards, sprinklers or trees with only concern being holes for burrowing animals.:p
With that being said I am enjoying it immensely but can't say I would pay to play such a venue.
