Round 1 play (4pts):

Peter Hanson to beat Chris Wood -111 @ Bet365 [also available @ Stan James, William Hill and Paddy Power]
Not sure that there is a lot of value in Hanson's odds to win this event, but he is a good player to side with in matchups and particularly this week: his last missed cut was in the PGA Championship in August and his last missed cut on the European Tour was over 10 months ago, while his record is Spain is equally impressive - he has made his last nine cuts in this country and has secured three top-10 finishes in his last five Spanish starts. By contrast, Wood has missed the cut in three of his last five events and from his five starts in Spain he has made three cuts and has a best finish of 24th with none of those starts on this course. Hanson did play when this course was used for the Mallorca Classic and was in 4th place after 54 holes last time out. With Wood having finished ahead of Hanson just once (and that was by a single shot) in the last eight months, I can't see it happening again this week.

[unofficial rd1 system plays: Lynn tb Dodt -105; Murphy tb Ramsay -125; Lucquin tb Murray -120; Cevaer tb Russo -120; Derksen tb Canizares A -111; Tunnicliff tb Parry -115; Lynn tb Dodt -105]

Round 2 play (4pts):

David Lynn to beat Scott Strange +100 @ Five Dimes
No surprise to see Strange struggle today. He has played in only three Tour events so far this year, made just one cut, averaging 73.8 per round; he now lies in 131st position and six shots off the cut line. With such infrequent Tour golf behind him this year and only one round in the 60s, I can't see him making any charge up the leaderboard tomorrow. That appears much more likely from Lynn who is three shots closer to the cut line and had been in contention until an ugly finish to his round. He is in much better form and doesn't warrant these odds.

[unofficial rd2 system plays: Canizares A tb Gonzalez -125; Carlsson tb Eriksson -125; Lorenzo-Vera tb Gross -143; Hanson tb Jacquelin -115; Kingston tb Velasco -145; Lynn tb Vancsik -122; Wood tb Lara -125; Fernandez-Castano tb Jacquelin -116; Edberg tb Grace -116; Canizares A tb Derksen +100]

Round 4 play (2pts):

Klas Eriksson to beat Manuel Quiros -110 @ Five Dimes
Opposing Quiros who lies in 14th place with one round to play. He fell out of the top-10 in the 3rd round, but past experience points to him falling much further down the leaderboard on Sunday. He has been inside the top-20 with one round to play 11 times on Tour and he has averaged 73 in the final round over those 11 rounds, scoring less than 71 just once and moving up the leaderboard just once. Eriksson may not be the player that he was, but he still ranks almost 1000 places higher in the World Rankings than Quiros, has been very good from tee to green this week and does have a top-10 finish on this course.

[unofficial rd4 system plays: Hanson tb Wood -111; Manley tb McLeary -110; Grace tb Oleson -105]
