Opinions on 7 unit play?

A service which will remain unnamed has NIU as a 7 unit Bowl Game of the month. There logic is that NIU has 21 seniors and was 9-3--1 ATS this season covering 9 straight till they lost to Miami OH. The game means more to them? I don't know squat about either team. What are your opinions? The only game I remember is Fresno getting smashed by Boise! Thanks

Not always easy to tell how seniors will play. Some may say "to hell with it I'm glad it's over."
I never do any thinking when MAC plays in Bowls. I fade every time. :shrug:

I dont buy there logic at all. With that being said i was leaning to Fresno St. They did get blown out by Boise but thats the only game they got blown out in and NIU is not Boise.

That doesn't mean anything. You can use that to make a case for almost any team in any game.

By the way I used N Ill in Woodson's contest as a 3 unit play, but I didn't put any cash on it.

The MAC is 1-11 SU and 0-11-1 ATS since 2008 in bowl games.

The underdog is 10-0 in Fresno bowl games.

NIU does a better job of running the ball but playing in the MAC tends to skew those numbers.

still, you have a 50/50 chance. You want to maximize your percentages, so it helps when you know something about a team. playing just for action is a recipe for disaster FWIW

I don't have anything on it. The service has had some winners in the past and has been in business for 30 years. I am just looking for another angle. I can't watch every game. I guess I am just looking for some good information. I see thunder on the other side so I most likely will not play N Illinois. I take every word Thunder says like it were the very word of god!

Trust your own capping ability and judgement my friend. Sounds like you may be on information overload.

For the record, I am on Fresno Big and that is coming from a guy that rode NIU all season long. I played Fresno nearly two weeks ago and got 'em at +3. NIU looked like they could not be beaten by another MAC school and lost badly to Miami O which was a tremendous letdown. Soon after they lost their very fine coach to the Big10.

It's very tough to gauge the emotions of a team, but that is a lot to overcome.

I love NIU here!!! "IF" NIU shows up they will be too much offensively for Fresno. I also give the defensive edge to NIU as well. Way too much love for the Bulldogs from what I'm reading........
