What about this Ortiz kid ?
Seems to be fast and powerful, but was he ever in a real figth yet. Emanuel Clottey is no world beater but he is tough and rough.
at plus 550 i take a shot against the young fellower.
Clottey stopped undefeated Abdullaev after getting beaten up for 10 rounds, maybe he can do it again.
Clottey has to hurt this kid sometime though.
He is not going to win a boxing match i guess.
Thats a 100 bucks bet, not much info.
Probably Ortiz will win a wide dec but Clottey should get his moments if he sticks around.

Ortiz looks like a very solid fighter to me, but he is very green, I can see why you took Clottey at those odds.

Speaking of big dogs...am I the only one that thinks Julio Diaz +400 is way too high?

I'll bite

Tony

SB just opened Ortiz -325

Usually 5dimes follows right behind with a similar number, you could be looking at a very nice scalp. Either way you got great odds. I'm playing Otriz at -325...for scalping purposes only, I think the line will go way up. If not I will just let it ride as I like Ortiz at those odds anyway.

What site had Clottey +550?
Where did you found odds like that???
As for the fight, I very seriously doubt Ortiz will lose because he is very mature for his age. Usually youngsters are green but Ortiz one of the few who is OK.

I played Ortiz -325 when he opened...Olympic now has Clottey at +450...

Layed $500 to win 155 on Ortiz (unfortunatly the limit)

Layed $105 to win 475 on Clottey

Risking $25 to win $50 on Ortiz...done for the night

Wow- you guys got some seriously nice scalping numbers. Those who don't have to work or have a job where they can watch lines are fortunate. Montana has the benefit of books that us USA residents can't get action on and many times when I check them, their numbers are quite different. Only thing is, there's non Vegas rules at great boxing books like BWIN, and on a draw- you lose on your fighter unless you cover. I am really pumped to watch these fights on VS. I'm high on Ortiz- to me he's a future major belt holder. Never seen the lesser Clottey, looks like he was stopped once though which means he can be stopped again. I'm tempted to put a small amount on the under at +178. Off topic- scanning some lines today- I see some value in Kllit by decision at +340. He's been off for how long?? Not exactly young, he may very well work on his timing and things and McCline was only stopped by his brother because he was scared shit the whole fight.

I work at least 45 hours a week...so I know you're not talking about me. But yes, Spongy is very fortunate

You can't have it both ways bro. One minute you and weasel say my mom is my finacial backer and the next its me:shrug:
By the way Puncy where ya bin? Im thinking of hitting Vegas sometime next year so warm me up a ticket to a nice fight and i will stuff some nice stuff in your christmas stocking.
Box, Im not that fortunate either. If i lose the one on one contest to Judge i will have to keep up my dues to the carpenters union up to date.
