14.5, seems tasty, any thoughts? MSU appears in shamble mode once again. Best QB OSU's defense will face so far but he's somewhat injured and their Oline was beat up by UM last week.

MSU is beat up, Staton (Ribs), Ringer is out, Trannon is out, and I believe but not 100% both of the TEs that play are suspended...this shouldn't be more than a walk-through for the Buckeyes!

I was able to confirm both TEs are suspended...

Last year in Columbus

First Downs: MSU 27, OSU 13

Total Yds: MSU 456, OSU 386

TOP: 40:59 MSU, OSU 19:01

This was all against the Hawk/Carpenter/Schlegel/Youbouty/Whitner led defense.

Methinks the sweater vest better pack a lunch.

CWood,

Methinks you better worry about your own team instead of last years stats on Ohio State games. I think the Buckeyes can handle the lowly Spartans......not so sure what to make of your rodents this week.

Good for you, bet on OSU. I will be playing MSU + the points and a little on the ML.

As far as "my rodents" go, I think UM should pull it out but it will be a big test, especially without Manningham.

I was at that game MSU had OSU on the ropes but with the injuries they have and their losses...MSU has thrown in the towel...it happens every year with this team...GL with your play Cwood but OSU will be covering by HT...and we'll get a real feel for how good MICH is this weekend...All of Columbus and Buckeye fans will be pulling for MICH...

by the way have you seen the injury report...this will be like playing Indiana...

OSU 42
MSU 14

Manningham.

The guy isn't even that great...and yes, I know all the stats but IMO his numbers are a direct result in playing teams with NO defense...and don't give me Wiscy because they haven't any competition this season other than MICH...

Manningham's over-rated the guy drops passes...you MICH fans need to quit acting like this guy is the second coming of Desmond Howard...

while I'm thinking of it...Lloyd Carr is the MICH version of John Cooper...he should have been fired after last year...maybe the Admin will realize that after this year with losses to OSU and in the bowl game...

I read that he can't even keep his own in state recruits...the top ten are all going to other schools...:142smilie

And who have MICH really beat this season...Notre Lame...OSU exposed them last year as frauds and MICH did nothing but confirm that...the Big Ten is down this year and ND might be considered a top ten team...only reason why MICH stays undefeated...or for the that matter OSU...well except for that one road game earlier in the season IMO has really been the Bucks only creditable win

I think MSU is just absolutely mentally gone. ND took all of that away with a great comeback. The only danger I see here is that MSU has a chance to hang their hat on taking down the #1 team. It won't happen. Michigan handled them physically and I see OSU taking the same approach and just beating them up with the run, to the left of course.

Thom: Not sure why you don't see the talent that Manningham has, I'm not a UM fan by the way. He might have had a big game against ND but the same could be said for Ginn against Good defenses. Teddy hasn't done much against good defenses. Doesn't mean he's not good.

Anyway I think MSU is just too beat up, I think they hang tough for a half and than OSU just steamrolls them again. Also have to factor in the logic of which way the breaks are falling and they clearly aren't going John L's way while Tress and coming seem to have the ball bouncing their way right now. Take the Bucks at -14 and count your money

Lloyd Carr = John Cooper

:mj07: :mj07:

Coop 2-10-1 vs Michigan, 3 B10 titles, and zero national titles

Lloyd 6-5 vs OSU, 5 B10 titles and a national title

BTW, Michigan will get the top recruit in the state this year (5 star corner Ronald Johnson). Not all that concerned about the rest of them, especially since we're bringing in Ryan Mallett and other top level out of state talent.

Also, sorry about your thread Vivalas. It seems the hillbillies have hijacked it and turned it into a UM hate fest.

Very true about Ginn. I don't really hype him either.

Not referring to CWood but you have some of these Mich fans act like Manningham is a world beater...when actually Antonio Bass is going to be the stud WR for MICH down the road...Manningham has talent and has quite an upside only being a SOPH...but he does drop catch-able balls and I think his numbers have benefited from poor defenses giving up the big pass down field...he's just not that big of a loss IMO...Mich is a good team and will be just fine without Manningham...

hillbillies..:mj07:

I'm not bashing MICH; I have great respect for the traditions and program...but I will bash Carr...he sucks...

and thats fine...you and I both know Carr hasn't done jackchit in the recent years and he has been on the hot seat...another loss to sweater vest without a bowl win the alums could be calling for his head...Cooper couldn't win the big game when it counted and Carr is headed down the same road...or fate I should say...

We'll just see where Mich's recruit class ends up in the rankings...we both know that doesn't mean chit either...but you would think a school with the prestige of MICH would be able to pull their in state recruits...faliure to do so I directly blame the coach

Lloyd 6-5 vs OSU, 5 B10 titles and a national title
shared national title & shared Big Ten titles

I apologize as well Vivals

Some people might call 2 Big Ten titles in the last 3 years "jackchit". Actually, that's as many B10 titles as ole Tress has won during his 5 year tenure.

Some Alums were calling for Carr's head prior to this year, but here's the thing, Michigan isn't like OSU, so he will leave on his own terms. Why? Because he wins 75% of his games, and he does it without the help of the $100 hand shake, much unlike the $weater Vest.

Is Lloyd Carr perfect, hell no. But he wins the right way and actually cares about the kids he coaches. That counts for a lot in my book. Most Ohio State fans wouldn't understand.

I disagree with this; the Big Ten shares titles so I don't put too much emphasis on that little stat there...look we'll agree to disagree and there is no need to go back and forth...I'm just not sold on Carr...the only reason why his departure from MICH would be on Carr's own terms is because he is buddy/buddy with the AD of the program...don't get me wrong Carr was a great coach 4th in active coaches in Win% and holds more Big Ten titles then other Big Ten coach...he's passed his prime and has no answer for sweater vest...he wins the right the way...key word there is win which he hasn't been able to do the last few years in the bowls and the last game of the season...bottom line continued faliure with this and he'll be on his way out...

GL with your plays this weekend CWOOD

Hey CWood......on your $100 handshake comment.......

If you really believe that Ohio State and Michigan are doing anything different in this department, you are sadly mistaken......

I think any of us with a brain know it goes on.....and for you to think it doesnt go on at Michigan......why dont you wake up, pal.....

I know FOR A FACT that what little that goes on at UM pales in comparison to what happens at O$U. It goes far beyond $100 handshakes outside the horseshoe. Shoot, give Ted Ginn Sr a couple cocktails and he'll tell you all about it. BTW, how does one acquire the cash to buy a 7 series BMW while working at Cleveland Glenville High School?

Geiger sold his soul when he hired Tre$$el, who already had an NCAA violation rap sheet when he came to CBus. The entire college football world knows what is going down at OSU. Unfortunately, unless something criminal happens and a true investigative unit (namely, the Feds) gets into the situation, the NCAA will do nothing. O$U is far too important to the bottom line.

If you want to bury your head in the sand and claim "everybody's doing it" that's fine, go ahead. Unfortunately, thats not the case.

:bsflag

 he is a teacher its called tenure you get a pay increase...used BMW that is...geeez...and if so what makes you think its not from an agent...he's not going pro or anything...gimme a break with that chit...thought you would have at least used Smith...

And you mean to tell me that Henne don't take chit...he's a grimy ass dude...you can just tell that mutherfawker is dirty...and your right it doesn't happen at MICH well except the one and only time :look: when the NCAA had to rule that the fab five never existed...:142smilie ...it's like the pot calling the kettle black...

:poke nice try there my friend but MICH's hands are just as dirty as anyone else's...
