First, I gotta admit...I haven't done much homework on Texas Tech. About the only thing I know is Kingsbury will try to air it out.
What I can tell you about is Ohio State.
OSU is in somewhat virgin territory with this game. It's not the usual Akron Zips or Ohio Bobcats or Mount Union Purple Raiders that they usually start off with. Granted, Tech is no powerhouse but they're hardly gonna be a pushover.
On defense, OSU should be ok....in the first half. (I'll get back to that) Michael Doss and Donnie Nickey will get tested early and their success will depend on the big guys getting at the QB.
On offense, OSU is flat. They are starting a true freshman at TB, their starting FB quit the team on Tuesday, starting WR Chris Vance is suspended and their's alot of new faces in the trenches.
Add to this mix Jim Tressel's conservative play and you'll be seeing OSU defense on the field more than they should be in the second half.
As of now, I won't play the side on this game. I haven't looked hard enough at Tech's arsenal.
