follow the cfl closely, and since i'm from ottawa, i can give my two cents;
winnipeg is not as bad as their record.
this team has played 4 games without their starting qb, who really makes this team click.
he's not a great qb, it's just that he doesnt make big mistakes like their backup tee martin did/does.
they have the leagues best rb.
they have one of the leagues' best wrs.
this team is much much better than their record.
on the other hand, ottawa is an enigma.
there is no way this team is a 5-3 team.
they are just not that good imo.
they have beaten saskatchewan twice (big deal).
beat hamilton (every one has)
beat montreal (montreal fell asleep up 20 pts in the 4q)
and we've beated calgary which was a good win, albeit at home.
reading the local newspapers and listening to the sports call in shows, ottawa seems way way too overconfident with this game.
yes, theyre saying all the right stuff (every win is a struggle; winnipeg is a tuff place to place) but they don't mean it.
no chance.
i personally have played winnipeg +3 earlier this week, and have a feeling winnipeg wins outright.
that's my take.
