Yesterday in the "NCAA FREE THROW" Forum, double down noted yesterday that West Virginia is undervalued and would be a good play until the public catched on: please read his reasoning.

Who do you think is undervalued or over valued in the Pros and why? All that post will receive a warm fuzzy feeling from knowing that you have helped other MJers beat the MAN!!

Thanks,
Bill

To me, I think Utah, Portland and Washington are very over-valued so far. The line for Wizard home games in particular is usually quite small. And Portland still remains a solid 7-10 point home favorite most of the time while rarely getting more than a few points at best on the road. WHY??? That team is SOOOOO unpredictable. Utah, meanwhile, might be the single best go against team in the NBA right now! As for undervalued, I don't know that anybody is when playing at home -- just a personal opinion there -- but I think there is continuous value to be found in New Jersey, Golden State and the Clips when they go out on the road. Obviously the teams that occupy these categories will shift as the season moves along but that's how I see it for now. Good luck all.

Overvalued:

Utah - As stated above, this is not the same team as years gone by. A great go-against at this point, tremendous value.

Orlando - The media LOVES this team soooo much. Too much. They can beat the crappy teams, but I won't touch 'em against anyone who is good. They're a flashy team, but not a clutch team.

New York - I think Vegas is starting to catch up with these guys, slowly. But they still continue to get too much respect some nights. A very solid go-against, especially on the road.

Charlotte - At this point, they just don't have it. I look for them to hover around or even under .500 for some time, yet they are still favored a lot.

Portland - See above.

Undervalued:

Chicago - Not a great team, but they are starting to cover games now. Ugly dog that nobody wants their money riding on.

Detroit - I kept thinking it was a fluke, but these guys are starting to make me a believer (even if they did gag last night). Still getting favorable lines.

Phoenix - After a 1-3 start they have quickly and very quietly improved....lines haven't caught up yet.

Watch Atl now that Rahim is starting to be the player they expected him to be earlier. He looked like he was just trying to fit in up until a couple of games ago. He carried Atl on his back last night.

I have made it clear that I think as long as Jordon tries to be the coach and spokesman for the Wizards they will be over valued. the team will not play unless they get some positive recognition.

NYK and Miami ar both over valued especially the Knicks.

I agree that Atlanta with Rahim will be undervalued - especailly at home.
