POSTED PLAYS 3-2 $$$= 4 Large
Rating System = Regular 1 to 2 dimes; Large 3 to 5; Double Down 6-8; MAX PLAYS 9 to 10. IE. Double Down 7, Large 4, etc.
Yanks cashed nicely. However, it seems that some cards have forgotten how to hit. The over really had little chance as the brew crew pushed it to 9. Oh well, the GRIND CONTINUES!
Interleague has been very tricky, but I find some real value that I am going to hammer:
DOUBLE DOWN 7
REDS +130
I really see this one as an overlay. I believe that it should be closer to even. On the surface this one looks good for the cards, prior to his last outing Simontachi has been very strong. Also, at home he has not lost this year. On the other hand Rietsma has flat out sucked, losing his last 6 in a row. However, he did have a very strong outing his last time against the cards and he has won 3 of his last 4 against them. Yes, simontachi has beaten the reds twice this year, only all 3 runs total in both starts.
One may say based on these facts, why would THE SLEEPER be all over the reds???????? Well:
-The cards offense is struggling, and struggling very poorly. In their last six against division opponents they have averaged 2 runs.
-The reds have won 3 in a row and are getting things back in order. Griffey is out of the line up and they are winning. Plain and simple.
-MAIN REASON: 3 in a row in the same season rule: In collegite and professional sports, it is very difficult for veteran teams and players to post 3 wins in a year versus the same team. Time after time we see that the first 2 may be easy but that 3rd one is always a bitch. IN THIS SITUATION WE ARE ASKING A 1ST YEAR PITCHER TO BEAT A QUALITY OFFENSIVE TEAM. I am not saying that it can't happend, just believe it won't.
ONE more thing: MUST WIN SERIES FOR THE REDS, THE NL WEST HAS THE WILD CARD PRETTY MUCH LOCKED UP AT THIS POINT IN THE SEASON AND THE REDS IF THEY WANT TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, MUST WIN THE DIVISION.(PERIOD)
REDS 7 Cards 2
