Just my opinion so I can't speak for anyone else, but I think that most will agree that all players are overpaid.

the man's pocket!
I disagree, most players are not overpaid. They are in the entertainment business. Does anyone pay to watch you and I go to work, NOPE. That is why they make what they do. Don't hate the player, hate the game!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I think they are overpaid for what they do and I stand by it. I don't hate the players or the game either.

I for one agree with Dragon. Who the hell goes to a game to see the Gerald Williams and Wil Cordero's of this world? Other than their friends and family. I go to see the team and to hopefully see them win and to take in the atmosphere of a major league game. By the way, Chan Ho is missing from that list. :nono:

I agree.. Its the game that should be hated.. As long as people keep going to see (and watch on tv) these jokers, they'll keep getting grossly overpaid.. To think that trauma surgeons, who save peoples lives every day, make a teeny tiny fraction of what these "athletes" make is ridiculous..

Doh! This just makes my blood boil.. But hey, Who wouldnt take 4 MILLION bucks a year if they could?

I agree with Dragon but I would not stop with baseball players.I would add all professinal athletes as well as people in the entertainment business as people grossly over-paid.And while I am at it I would say that teachers, firemen, policemen & soldiers in our military are generally under-paid.

Of course Ar is right...but sadly are priorities slip constantly into what's up for excitement, fantasy, pleasure etc and the important role players in society are certainly necessary but viewed as boring and mundane as time goes on. The 9/11 disaster put the true heroes in the spotlight but even that will fade away.

Salaries of performers and athletes have been debated for years but it boils down to us wanting to be entertained and we show no limit in our desire.

It doesn't bother me....

It doesn't bother me....

If I was given the talent to play professional sports, I wouldn't turn down the money. Would you?

It's kinda a catch 22 for me......The players salary doesn't bother me, but paying sooo much to attend a game does.

I'll stick to attending the college games.
