this year....not really.....probably 3rd behind sec and big 12.....wazzu is really bad, uw-stan-osu arent good and ucla isnt as good as they looked vs tenn.

the conf is getting wacked today but everything is on the road.....not many conf see 70% of their conf head out on the road for ooc games (on the same day)

True, but to see UCLA get clobbered for the second consecutive year to a Utah team is surprising. Losing yes, getting blown out of the stadium no.

they lost close twice last year to byu, not utah.

getting rolled today is not a shocker, their offense is terrible this year.

personally i think there are only 4 decent teams (ore-cal-asu-ua) in the conference this year and 1 great team (sc).....the rest are dogs......and the jury is still out on the decent teams.....however i still think the conf is better than the acc-big-10-big east

Even though my Vols lost to UCLA, that was the best thing that could happen for a gambler. Vegas actually thought they could hang with BYU

Made me some good $$$$$$$$$$$$:00hour

I agree with gjn. I would rank the Pac-10 3rd out of all conferences. Of course everyone will jump on the Pac today because of the UCLA debacle and Cal losing to Maryland, but they're both road games, so it's not nearly as big a deal as people think (granted, the UCLA game is frigging fugly though). If both teams lost at home, then I could understand some raised some eyebrows.

The noon EST Cal game today was the equivalent of them playing at 9 AM. That's ridiculous. I can't even imagine having to be ready to play football at 9. And they have to wake up, I would assume, a minimum of 4 hours before kickoff (breakfast, walkthroughs, dressing, pregame warmups, etc.). I expected them to be flat because of that.

Don't sleep on ASU either. I think they're neck-and-neck with Cal for #2 in the Pac. Having said all this, UW may very well lose by 40 at home to OU today. :mj07:

The got their ass kicked by the Utes early in season last year. Maybe more a shocker than today.
