Bgold.. i have a lot fo respect for your knowledge of the pac 10. I have been capping the Cal mich state game, and teh only conclusion i can come to on a point spread of 13.5 is that Cal is vastly overated after beating up on a pair of very poor teams. I was wondering what your take is on this game? thanks..

not bgold, buckeye fan, but here goes,

Cal/MSU
Cal's early success (v Baylor & NMSU) has been discounted by some here, but MSU played Rice & EMU so far. Cal may be better prepared than the Spartans for this game if you judge by level of competition.
MSU only had 58y on 32c v Rice & their 4 2h scoring drives went for a total of 61y! Due to 4 Rice 2h t/o's. A more telling stat comes from their EMU game -- 49 pass attempts by EMU w 0 sacks & 0 int's by the Spartans!
Cal has jumped out early & cruised in both their games. If Cal can keep the ball & show balance on offense they should hang w MSU. But, how will Cal handle playing from behind, on the road, in a big time arena v a ranked(?) team! That's what scares me about this game.

ASU QB Andrew Walter the only qb that is capable of moving the ball at this point in the season is sidelined with a sprained knee. He was named starter after sprking the devils to a 29-0 3rd quarter over UCF on Saturday. Previous starter RS-FR Chad Chrristanson is going to be starting once again..It says 2nd String will be Andy Goodenough..yeah thats his last name...he actually was the no.1 jcc qb in the ocuntry last year under coach craft at palomar cc...ironically..craft is the head coach now at sdsu...who asu is playing

Colo played with suspended players vs SDSU...it showed...waht ever happend to Colo in the end...did they miss and extra point to win by 20??? had them at -21..oh well.....USC 2nd game...first since monday night two weeks ago...can carson come through...NO play Colo if you must play this game..im not

Arizona couldnt run against 1AA Northern Arizona...but they could pass..strange...thought it would be the opposite...Clarence Farmer is too good to have a repeat of the NAU game...UTAH is a sick defense..just ask the trojans in the vegas bowl last year....UA got some playmakers on both sides of the ball.. and it will be a hot night in tucson...take the home dog nice nice play

I cannot justify putting money on this game...i made the dumb mistake to bet Idaho vs WSU and saw WSU put up 21 points before I vould even load the audio broadcast....no reason why Oreg wont do the same...but they struggeld vs FS last week...too many points..but would lean to Ore..no play

I could not agree with you more on the ASU total. SDSU u 23.5 will be my biggest play of the year. Currently have it for 5 units and will be upping it more tonight after some day plays. Will be trying to make some cash to help finance that pick. I love it! Good luck!

Walters has just been elevated to second string again for ASU.. his knee is feeling 100 times better. I would no t be surprised to see him enter the game if Christanson soesnt do welll.

as for the games: i only saw scores...i saw the cal game in the am and went to the sdsu.asu game

cal: i still am thrilled they won...they are not a top 25 team. I am a Cal fan...but MSU was awful. Cal is a good team though...probably 8th in pac...

asu offense: walters is obviuosly the qb...christanson looks like a high school qb....walters looked healthy, not sure why he didnt start...the running game was anemic for ASU until Candidate came in again... THEME-ASU is an extremeley potent offense with Walter at QB and Candidate running

asu defense: very very surprised by the 500+ passing yards allowed...although asu had the number 1 and 5 in the depth chart at cb...the 2,3,4 all got hurt...number 4 will be the nnumber 2 the remainder of year. they still have the best de in the country in my opinion in suggs. i expect a 5th place finsih in pac-10 which is best conferance by far this year...

san diego state: Craft has turned this program around..i know they are0-3 but Tollver at WR is the best WR I have ever seeen in college...and I Watch a ton of games....they will beat UCLA when the Bruins come rocking the Big Q in a few weeks

Gave you SC as the easiest play on the board, they looked good but Colorado is not that good right now.

Also, still not sold on ASU defense. SDSU threw 50+ times which is their new norm (not sure why you loved the under so much?) and got over 500 yds. ASU pass defense will be exposed in the Pac-10 season.

UA was in control vs Utah and faltered down the stretch to hang on for a 23-17 win.

Cal looked good and UCLA toyed with OSU. Wazzu fell apart and OU/Stanford/OSU rolled.

All in all the Pac-10 looks tough 1-10. Our pre-season #10 beats the Big Ten preseason #3/4 (MSU) on the road as a 14 point dog?????

Still have ASU/Stanford/Cal a cut below UA/OSU/UCLA with OU/UW/WSU/SC at the top.

Let's see how UA does this week at Wisc (potential upset, injury bug hitting an overrated plodding Wisc team) and UCLA looks vs CU

do u have any idea how ticket sales will be for the air force game sat.......i heard they've had small crowds for the 2 home games this season.....i went to a univ. of cal. web site & they got a golfer in the headlines.....i take it they school aint excited about the football team....i was hoping for an excited crowd & a team thats sky high sat. & hopefully they shut down the fly-boys rushing attack........then, sept. 28th the berkley bears get there wake up call by wazzu .......i think cal has been blessed so far this season & agree w/ you they are 8th place in the pac 10.......good luck to you on your wagers.
