And as everyone knows, the President controls gasoline prices.

Gasoline would be 10 cents a gallon if that's what Obama wanted.

It has nothing whatsoever with world crude oil prices, speculation in oil futures or the actions of OPEC.

Newt would instantly reduce the price of gasoline to $2.50. Why not $.99, he doesn't say.

In any event you are correct, it's all Obama's fault. It's a socialist plot to turn the USA into Bangladesh.

I'm pretty sure i stated facts.

Not sure why your panties are in a bunch, Duff unless you like it that way.....

As for blaming the Pres, I think the left did a really good job of blaming Bush for it while he was Pres.

Of course you tried to pin high gasoline prices on Obama.

Otherwise you would have said: "Gas hasn't been this high since Bush."

You intent is transparent, weasel.

You can try and put words into my mouth.

I did not blame Obama - I made his inauguration a point of reference.

Gas prices were high under Bush as well - as we all know.

And, as you and I both know, the FED is the reason gas / oil prices are so high. People can try to blame speculators, etc.

The FED and the near vertical spike in M1 is the root cause of the high oil prices. Period.

WTF are you talking about? Crude is priced in dollars. The dollar up up against the Euro over the past year, therefore crude oil is up more in Europe than in the USA.

p.php

The dollar is also up against the Indian Rupee, the British Pound, the Russian Ruble and even with the Yen.

You've got a bad habit of making claims which are contradicted by facts.

The dollar is up v the Euro because of the contagion in Europe. it is up v the Yen because of CB intervention, trying to weaken the Yen.
There is a war going on....just one most do not see - it is a currency war.
The FED is exporting inflation globally because of its printing.
Guess I figured you would've known that.

Let's see if I can follow your thinking.

The Fed is holding interest rates down at historic lows.

The Fed is printing money at a high rate.

Therefore, the dollar is becoming more valuable against most major currencies.

And that is driving the price of crude up.

And the color of the sky in your universe is......pink?

Value of dollar today vs value of dollar in 2005?

ECB is monetizing it's own debt - just as the US is.

How many remnibi per dollar is it now v 2009 or 2007? Does the Rupee matter more than the Yuan?

LMFAO.

Gold in 2000 was around $300 per ounce.
Gold in 2012 is around $1700 per ounce.

Oil in 2000 was $25 per barrell
Oil in 2012 is $100+ per barrel.

What is more important - the value of the Rupee per dollar or oil or gold or the Yuan?

Meaningless statistics.

Gold in 2012 is around $1700 per ounce.

Gold was $850 in 1980. So....you're saying the 2000 dollar was worth 3X the 1980 dollar?

Oil in 2000 was $25 per barrell
Oil in 2012 is $100+ per barrel.

Oil was $140 in 2006. So....you're saying the dollar is worth more now than in 2006?

And, just FYI, oil today, inflation adjusted, is the same price as it was in 1958.

Maybe you can get your own comedy show like Jim Cramer.

Meaningless to you. Sure.

Historically, the us-yen trades at a much different price than today.

It used to be that once the US -yen got to 105 yen / usd, the BOJ would intervene. Now, it is trading in the 80's.

Much fewer yen / dollar - weaker dollar

in forex land, traders trade the yen as a proxy for the yuan as you can not specifically trade the yuan.

Furthermore, yuan is pegged to the usd - at a rate set by the PBOC. In 1994, was at 8.62 yuan /usd....now it is at 6.3-something per dollar - again - a weaker dollar.

If you do not think the value of the USD has an effect on oil or gold, wait until we get a sell-off in the markets and watch what happens to the USD Index as well as what happens to the price of oil and the price of gold.

you can say what you will....i do this stuff for a living and do very well at it - call me an idiot or what-not - it really does not matter to me what you think as long as my accounts are positive.
