Does anyone know which books out there give the best parlay odds? I have heard that some are better than others, just not sure which ones they are. Thanks a lot guys.

best way to find out about parlay odds is this way:

use decimal odds (example -110 =$1.91)...multiply the decimal odds, for example if you had the following 5 team parlay:

Dallas -1.5 (-110) =$1.91
Detroit -3.5 (-110) =$1.91
Toronto MoneyLine (-120) $1.83
Seattle Moneyline (-150) $1.67
New York Moneyline (-190) $1.53

odds should be 1.91x1.91x1.83x1.67x1.53=17.06

if you are at a book that DOES NOT give you odds of 17.06 then take your money out, and run! It's just that simple!

and FWIW CRIS and Gameday (madjack sponsors) are two books that work it out to the final decimal.....some others...well ummm they screw ya!

6-team 54:1 40:1
7-team 107:1 75:1
8-team 210:1 150:1

BTW, SPORTSBETTING.COM is a new advertiser on Mad Jack Sports. I'm posting here on their behalf.

Why you DO NOT PLAY PARLAYS

Why you DO NOT PLAY PARLAYS

KICKSERV, I know of NO ONE or Parlay Calculator which rounds UP parlay odds to the second decimal (hundredths) as you've have demonstrated.

The CORRECT odds of your example equate to a return of 15.9976 (16.00), NOT the 17.06 you've indicated.

As such, the CORRECT PAYOUT (of your example) equates to $16.00 for every $1.00 layed/played.

madjack's handicapping resource page has parlay calculator.

Please use this site to VERIFY your Bookmaker's calculations...many Bookmaker's further REDUCE your payouts on selections lined at -110 (flat 20 cent line)...again, VERIFY your PAYOUTS are CORRECTLY calculated, if you choose to play these poor propositions or understand that you will be further ripped-off on your payout.

Also note, the CORRECT mathematical return of the parlay cited would equate to $22.00 for every dollar risked.

Meaning the house hold is a whooping 27.27%, not the typical 4.55% of (-110/-110) straight wagers or the 2.38% (-105/-105)...while the probability of winning the example parlay you've cited is ~5.50% or a LOSING probability of ~94.50%. :scared

The reason parlays are rip-offs (sucker bets) should now be obvious...extreme house holds coupled with low win probabilities. :rolleyes:

DO NOT PLAY PARLAYS... unless you can find payout odds, which EXCEED the costs associated with "boxing" your selections (a different topic).

Hope this helps. :)

Player:

you didn't read carefully.....the odds I posted were decimal odds which work out to 17.06 which in vegas format would be 16.06-1

so:

1.91x1.91x1.83x1.67x1.53=17.06

and there are lots of books that work out parlays to the exact decimal...Gameday and CRIS to name two of em...and as you can see by sportsbetting.com example...you actually get "screwed" on a 5 team parlay....if at sportsbetting.com you played a 5 team parlay (all -110) on say Sunday for example the true odds should be:

1.91x1.91x1.91x1.91x1.91=25.41 (24.41-1 vegas format)

you can see that at sportsbetting.com they only pay 20-1.....so you can see..ya get screwed!!

(worth noting that they are fine for 2 3 or 4 games but at 5 ya get screwed!)
