I'm going to meet with a professer of mechanical engineering at the local college.

I have and idea for a new machine.

My question is? Is there some type of non-disclosure form or something that I should have him sign to help protect the information I give him. Or maybe not?

Thank you.

If you really trust the guy you may be OK that he wont screw you if the idea has merit and can come to fruition.

Never sign up with one of them idea places. They will charge you and then steal your idea if its any good.

If your serious and want to go forward, see a patent attorney. Try to get a reccomendation of the attorney and you should be ok.

good luck

Thanks for the response KOD! :)

Yeah. I would never go there one of those invention services.

To be honest. I've never met him before.

Guess for right now I'm going with the fact that he's a professer and has good moral character. I know that might be a chance? But I can't do this myself. I need people to help put this product together.

I share the idea with him. Then if we move forward. He'll have to tell his students who would be working on building a protype for me.

So I just want to make sure that thru this process. I'm not leaving my idea open to be stolen.

Course that maybe the chance I have to take.

Again. Thanks for the help!
