Touches and pulls it out and then calls for an official. He has a long history of crap, all the way back to college.

and oh yeah this would never happen in tennis, I can speak from experience that a guy like Reed would never get away with this shit in tennis. He would have got beat up long ago for the cheating he's pulled. He continues to get away with it, that's why he does it.
I could give out a long list of male tennis players that got their ass kicked when they cheated. And guess what, they never do it agin. Why no other PGA golfer hasn't beaten Reed to a pulp is beyond me? I mean how could nobody in the locker room just beat the fuck out of him?
Reed will continue to do this because he gets away with it, he was a scumbag/cheater back in his NCAA days and he'll never change.

This is a cheaters move. For the most part, the other two players and caddies aren't watching your ball with more than slight interest. So, nobody's going to argue much if you say "I didn't see that bounce. Did you see that bounce?".
Even if you don't bring a rules official over, this should be done with a fellow playing partner. They should assess it before he touches it. Much like identifying your ball, you can slightly move/oscillate it to understand the situation. But, no. He just does it all on his own and then calls a rules official after the fact to feel the ground. He could have made an indent with his thumb for all we know. POS.

He saw he would probably have to take an unplayable lie or hack it out, so he cheated. He does things like this all the time. No biggie. I remember an SEC football coach once said,"if you're not cheating, you're not trying". :SIB

Basically he kicked everyone's ass and they had NOTHING to show or talk about the last 2 hours so kept this controversy" going. Nick Falco can go eat a dick.
All these pros take advantage of every rule to benefit themselves (did we all forget tigers fans moving a rock for.him him or dechambeau trying to get a drop for "red antz")
