This is simply the best opportunity the Colts have had to be in the Superbowl in the Manning era..at least as far as I can remember....I am not one of those New England fans who bashes Manning I think he is one of the best Qb's ever to play in the NFL and has had some games especially during the palyoffs where he simply has had bad games against some pretty good teams ...I will go on record as saying that I took Indy when they were at New England earlier this year so i would not hesitate to play them here if I believed they were the right side...in this case however i do not..in the first game they played Brady had 4 picks ..that is not a misprint 4 picks ...and New England as a team had 5 turnovers yet they were within striking distance pretty much the whole game...I DO NOT think Brady is going to have 4 picks in this game or New England will have 5 turn overs if they do I dont think anyone on this site would disagree that Indy could very well blow them out..
I also do not think that the Colts defensive woes are suddenly solved because they put two very good games together...that is not to say that they have not turned a corner so to speak but I think this turn around also was contributed to by abysmal offensive plans and performances by both KC and BALT. In the first meeting the Pats ran for 148 yards to the Colts 53 yards rushing and just in case anyone was wondering Sanders did play that game and had a very solid game. I think that if New England can run like that and limit thier turnovers they have an excellent shot at winning this game.
I do not want to put to much emphasis on this angle but I do think it is worth mentioning that Adam Vin. missed two field goals in thier prior meeting..i do not expect him to do that again as he is simply deadly in the dome but if there is any anxiousness on his behalf against any opponent it makes sense it would be against his former team and we all know what that can do to even the best ok kickers...
I am playing New England plus 3
good luck to everyone
