the land of confusion
Season to date: 1 - 5 @ 16.66% ----- Bank = $8,667 @ 43.3%

2 games for you guys to fade this week. Both played at the same time in different cities so going 10% on each.

First up are my Kangaroos to defeat Collingwood at the dome on Saturday night. I'll be there enduring the torture.

The second eligible selection is Western Bulldogs +11.5 versus Sydney.
The Doggies sieve-like defence is the only doubt as they can get plenty of shots off at goal (accuracy is something else!).

Confidence is shot to bits but riding it out regardless.
Stand clear of the closing doors.

Keep the faith, small sample size there.

I'll just add that the western bulldogs should in no way be a play, they have given up home ground advantage and are playing the match at swans home ground (SCG)
Swans at home are a class above.

Not having a go at you nehpets but the Swans didn't look "a class above" a poor Hawks side last week when they held on by 1 point.

History does favour the Bulldogs in this one and I don't always agree with the system, but I follow it regardless because of its years of great %'s.

Happy enough to take the points on offer.

And the tough run continues.....

Collingwood 92 defeated
KANG.gif
Kangaroos 65
SYDN.gif
Sydney 93 defeated
WBUL.gif
Western Bulldogs 67

Season to date: 1 - 7 @ 12.5% ----- Bank = $6,935 @ 34.67%

Well.....I'm stumped for words. 6 straight losses on end is a record streak never seen in over 7 years of historical data. I'm now seriously thinking that I have an effect on the outcome of these matches!!

I'm not sure whether I should cut my losses and walk away or continue with what could now be "Mad Jack's funniest thread".

Pawa,

I hadn't been on board the train until this week. I remembered your very successful train rides through the AFL in the past, so I figured now was a good time to climb aboard. Thought for sure the express was "due". I thought at worst, we could get a split, but it wasn't to be. Oh well....win some, lose some.

Just wanted to get my two cents in on whether or not the express should stay on course:

I, personally, give an emphatic YES. There will be peaks and valleys in this endeavor of ours, your system just happens to be in a valley. Maybe the adjustment needs to be made in the aggressiveness of your wagers to accomodate for slides like this? (Not trying to tell you what to do.....I'm certainly not one to be giving advice on money management, but just a thought)

Anyway, what matters is the long haul. This system of yours has been a proven winner over time. The key words there are "over time". To make a quick judgement and scratch the system over a disappointing eight game stretch wouldn't be prudent. Even though it is easy to think that the bad run should have turned around by now, I say keep chugging along and IT WILL TURN AROUND.

If you keep posting, I will keep playing. I have the faith and I'm sure others on this board that have followed your plays over the years do as well. We still appreciate your contributions to the board. I hope you choose to stick it out.

Agree JC. The system is going through a tough phaze at the moment pawa but as mentioned by both yourself and JC, the system is simply going through some unihabited valleys and it can not be far away from climbing its way back to the peak of the mountain. Hang in there mate and hopefully a winning streak similiar to that of the current slide will result. The system has proven too successful in the past to be 'de-railed'. Hang in there mate.:)

Thanks guys.

I woke up this morning in a better mood and I'll press on with the system. I never factored in for a bad run like this when I worked out my aggressive stand on betting the system plays. I did look at things like 10% after any loss and the like but with it rarely dropping 3 in a row at any given point in time, I figured that I would be worse off in the long run. I would never have believed that it could go 0-6 having worked through the many previous years data. It just kills me that it has happened at the start of the season with my biggest investment thus far. I could have copped it if it did this at the end of the year and was eating at my profit instead.

I'm sure the tide will turn.....and If I were a betting man :D , I'd say it's odds on to turn this coming week!!!

:D :D
