I was reading at another site that soem politican from NY is going after Paypal's internet gaming transactions, and that once the EBAY buyout is completed that they will stop all of Paypal's internet gaming transactions. Saying of the uncertainity of gaming laws about offshore EBAY won't deal with it.

First most credit cards won't deal with offshores or gaming transactions, and now paypal is most likely done. What is next no Western Union or bank wires? All these politicans are a joke. Read fletchers post about 2 Senators who are pretty much full of shit about no more gambling and are in Las Vegas.

What do these assholes want from us. They want to control every part of our lives and big brother is watching.

I don't know if people are aware of this or not but thought I would post even if it was posted before. It makes me want to go into an insane rage about the government sometimes.

PayPal Gets Subpoena from NY Attorney General - WSJ

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Internet payment provider PayPal Inc.(NasdaqNM:pYPL - News). said it received a subpoena from the New York state attorney general's office related to its activities in the Internet gambling market, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.

The company said the attorney general's office had asked for information about online gambling payments that occur through the company's network, and it would co-operate.

PayPal on Monday accepted a $1.5 billion buyout offer from eBay (NasdaqNM:EBAY - News), which supplies more than 60 percent of PayPal's clients.

At the time of the announcement eBay Inc. said it would cease the business PayPal does with Internet gambling firms when the online auctioneer completes its proposed acquisition.

EBay said it decided to close the gambling business, which accounts for 8% of payments on the PayPal network, because of uncertainty surrounding regulation of that market.

Western Union is always there, but very expensive to get payouts. Treasury Dept sent the paperwork if it is over $1000. Feds tried to lower it to $500 and the important Hispanic swing vote screamed, then the politicos backed down. Might not next time.
