How many people actually use this service and how trusted is it with your funds?

I have to resort to this form of transfer now that Western Union is limiting the places offshore that they will let people send large amounts of money.

Also what is the largest amount that anyone has had in the PAYPAL system at any given time and how did they get their transfer or money to them?

i've been with paypal for over a year. i use a separate checking account and a credit card with a small limit. i use them all the time for sportsbooks and ebay and other things. i've tranferred 5 figures, never a problem and i always use their bank wire method.

hope this helps.

Going on almost two years now, and I have had hundreds of transacthemions without one glitch(knock on wood). Don't remember exactly, but I withdrew nearly $6-$8k a few months back and had them auto draft it to my personal checking account at home. I think if you use it strictly as a vehicle for a savings account or you simply use it to buy chit at auctions and fund sportsbook accounts, you will not have a problem. They are publicly traded now and each account is insured up to $100k. I'm as confident using them as I am my local bank here at home.

There's no doubt that they've meesed a few things up with people's accounts, but 99% of the time they take care of the problem pretty fast. Every company that has itself growing as fast at Paypal is, there are gonna be ysome growing pains along the way. There's no doubt that this has happened to them, but I trust that they'll work their ass off trying to find a remedy to the problem..

likewise....never had a problem with them. Had a few problems with firepay in the past which were resolved, but Paypal's the way to go.

I have had one bad experience, and several hundred good experiences. I would recommend using a seperate checking acct if u do sign up, and only have money in it when you are going to make a transaction. GL.
