Astacio's curveball last night was one of the nastiest pitsches I've seen in baseball in a long time.

I am no baseball enthusiast, but I love to see a mix of power and control. His game for the Mets last night was a thing of beauty.

What great name pitchers were known for great curve balls?

was it Burt Blyleven or John Candeleria that had the curve ball that would drop off the table? Might have been both of them, I can't remember. One of them had the nastiest curveball I have ever seen.

blyleven had a wicked curve.

For today's players, I thought Sele's curve when he was with Sox and Texas (IIRC) was awesome.

of the Cardinals also has a huge hook... sat behind the plate at Miller Park in Milw last year to watch him pitch... it was amazing to see how much his pitches moved...

In addition to Blyleven,Koufax also had a wicked curve to compliment his fastball.

The Yankees had a lefty relief pitcher in the '60s or '70s who was about 6'11''had a very wicked curveball. His name was Steve Hamilton & he was a specialist who mainly pitched to lefthanded batters.I also think that Hamilton played with the Celtics for a short time.
