The main event is B.J. Penn (-300) against Frankie Edgar for the lightweight championship. Penn lost the belt as a huge favorite to Edgar last April in the United Arab Emirates.

It was a unanimous decision at 50-45, 48-47 and 49-46. Penn?s camp said he wasn?t feeling good, which sounds like a pretty bad excuse. However, the oddsmakers believe he should be the solid favorite once again with these odds.

Edgar has a speed advantage and will try to ?stick and move? as much as possible. Penn has the better power by far.

The 31-year-old Penn is 15-6-1 in his career and has bounced back from losses against much tougher opponents like Georges St-Pierre. The 28-year-old Edgar is a New Jersey native and is 12-1. The overall competition that he?s faced is much lower than Penn.

Randy Couture (-600) against James Toney is another fight everyone is talking about. Couture has accomplished everything in his MMA career, but is clearly on the downside at 47-years-old. He?ll be fighting former boxing champion James Toney. This is his first foray into MMA and it?s a tough one.

The Kenny Florian (-155) and Gray Maynard bout will determine the No. 1 contender for the lightweight championship. Florian lost to Penn for the lightweight title back in August. Maynard is undefeated at 9-0 and is the only fighter to beat Edgar.
