EASY WINNA as the OVER on the TWINKIES game came home in true form. And an EASY WINNA on the Mets RL though the Bullpen for the Bullpen almost gave a 6 Run lead away to the lowly FISH. YIKS...
But...
We held court at 2-0 none the less !!
That brings us to a 6-3 Record for 2019. Respectable but not PW worthy !

Here is the rub....
Mahle is junk. Yea yea, he can top some of the radar guns... Yea yea but the dude just throws toooooo many strikes. He throws strikes on just about every other pitch. He has always had an ERA north of 4.... He is decent... a 5th starter but not a guy to tackle a short porch of 7.5... Especially against a Pirate team that is a bunch of free swingers. Last thing you want to do is throw them a strike..haha
Lyles is a reliever. Not a closer, a middle man. Seriously? The real issue in my opinion is that Lyles moved to a 4 seamer and abandoned his 2 seamer. WRONG. He did it to throw more strikes but he doesnt throw hard enough and cause of that can get lit. Curve ball is good but boys, he is a middle guy scrapped by the Pads and Rocks... Please...

Both the Reds and Pirates have one thing in common and that is that they can hit. Reds have been slow out of the gate, Pirates have not...but this Reds team can hit. I feel they get well here tonight...
