Do any of you madjackers live around here? I am stuck down in this armpit for a lil bit and am looking for something fun to do in the evenings or on the weekend. Talking to the cute hotel front desk girl only lasts so long before I need something to occupy my time with a lil more substance.

Anyone even close? Within an hour drive?
Drop me a line in this thread and maybe we can hook up for a beer or some sudsy drink.

Marine, I used to live in Pepsicola for 5 years. The best places to hang out are on Pensacola Beach. Beer, bands, and babes. Always something going on at night there.

Destin is nice. (about 1 hour east) and so is Ft. Walton Beach (about 45 minutes east)

You could always visit the NAVAL air station. (Navy joke)

The beaches are pure white sand and emerald water. Awesome if you like the beach atmosphere.

I was at Pensacola Naval Air Base for 4 years 1995/1999 check out Traders Johns downtown or forgot the name but there is a bar right out side the main gate fro the Nuke School that is good.

I have a brother who lives there but he's married with a little girl and one on the way so he's a little busy to party sorry

however, he's an attorney in the public defenders office if you get into any trouble

For drunk retarded fun, you might check out Seville. Used to go there occassionally in college. Younger crowd, and Thursday is college night. Hot senoritas there. Grew up in Crestview, about 45 minutes from there. UWF probably has a couple places where the younger crowd hangs out, but I'm not sure where.

Head over about 30 minutes west towards Gulf Shores. Right on the state line is the FloraBama Lounge. It was voted by Playboy as the best party bar in the US couple of years ago Should really find some ..... good times, especially on the weekend.

Stay away from Arety's!!! It is the home of the $10,000,000 lap dance. This is the strip club that cost Mike Price the Alabama head coaching job.

Go down towards Gulf Shores, just on the right side of the highway past the Florabama there is a laundromat! Go all the way to the back and you will find a large industrial sized clothes dryer. Put the required 1.25 in and get in! If you leave the heat on low you can ride this thing for about 25-30 seconds before you start to get hot and sick! If you are at the beach and need the good cheap fun, you can never go wrong with some laudry mat amusement rides!

The last time I did that, me and my dad and my uncle got all loaded and went to the soap and suds and got in the dryers and laughed our asses off! The guy who owned the place came in and told us to get the hell out after we had had enough fun for the night.........I think he was too amazed that we were doing it to even get mad at us!

I gotta say, I am HIGHLY impressed with this white trash town thus far. I went out to eat at a Ruby Tuesday on saturday night and they had LUMBERJACK championships on ALL the tv's in the dining area... and people actually had favorites they were rootingfor!
