Here are my picks for the championship this weekend.......you'll notice I haven't picked tiger at all....two reasons - 1, the odds are ridiculously heavy in his favor - golf is too wide open for such heavily stacked odds - look at the british open. 2, without the possibility of the grand slam, and given his slightly less than perfect play of late (I know he won last weekend, but he wasn't on fire) I don't think he's got that "magic aura" about him this weekend. Didn't take him to finish in the top 3 either - he's an all or nothing sort of golfer....if he's in contention he's winning.
so, my picks:
Sergio Garcia finish in top 3 +350 : 1 unit
lowest round under 65.5 -150 : 3 units (course playing fairly easy compared to previous majors)
highest round over 85.5 -105 : 2 units - playing easy, but there are still people like Daly playing this weekend
winning score under 275 -120 : 2 units - that's only average 3 under/day....very beatable
mickelson to win +1000 : 2 units
garcia to win +1200 : 2 units
I'm not sure about Mickelson....he's due, but if he's really challenged on Sunday he might fall off....Sergia plays well here, and he seems to keep his composure as well as anyone.
