Hello neighbor.

Phillies at +150 may be worth a shot. Very small play though. :scared

Good luck.

Maine hasn't faired to well on the road, albeit they were all against AL teams. Maybe it being the big SNB game he could rattle. Phillies seem to get runs for this rook, and he has given up a run an inning on the road.

Leaning to the Phil's and the Over

John Maine has a streak of 17 scoreless innings. He has pitched well especially at home. The sunday night game usually goes over. Tough call here but i can't take the phillies. I love offense but may just play the mets.

Knot knocking you my friend....

but I love public numbers like this. You have to look into things a bit more. Last three home games were against high school caliber scoring teams. Cubs are weak anywhere, Stro's never do much on the road, Florida's bats aren't going to put the fear of God into anyone. Also remember not many had a book on this kid. Philly playing with no pressure and both teams have been hitting very well over the last week. Both teams are starting rooks, both of which may rattle tonight.

Phillies starter will be pitching for a job next year.

Mets starter is given these opportunities somewhat every now and then. His last start was the 26th of last month.

You're right IO 2 rooks starting on primetime sunday night. The under seems like a popular play but you know how that goes. The line has shot up in favor of mets. I think I'll take a shot on the over 9.5 + 116. I like the value there good luck guys.

Allan, I'm siding with you, but it looks like you and I are in the minority on this one.

The Phillies Mathieson, is coming in with an ERA over 6, both on the road AND in the last 3, while Maine's numbers are sick right now. IE makes a point that Maines numbers are based upon his status as a rookie and he faced inferior competition. That may prove to be the case, but until something happens to the contrary, I'm riding the bandwagon. I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth.

Both teams can hit, both bullpens ERA are about the same although Mets are only .238 BAA. A lean to the Mets on Pitching, bullpen and home field. No category that I cap has an advantage to the Phillies....

I'm only a half hour away from shea stadium and it's not that windy here. That said shea is a wind tunnel of a stadium.

If Maine is pitching lights out, why has Randolf waited 10 days to pitch again?

Maybe a little arm problem from that high pitch count last time out?
