Well with a degree in the Bleeding Obvious from the University of Wellinever - it just has to be Rocco - doubt if he will be much bigger than the 40/1 from Multisports.
Second choice for now has to be an in form Kenny Perry - 50/1 Bet365 won't be available at the off

Oly doesn't have odds up yet on phoenix but Mediate does look good if given decent odds. They do have place odds up on Masters however and I venured out on 3 in light of anticipated moves later.
Toms,Dimarco and Langer to place @ 10,12.5 and 12.5 to 1 respectively.

Betting: checked out books linked Thank you.
None have efficient way to move US funds in and out.
Will have to wait till one makes move similiar to Bet365 to add another I guess. Ya all keep me abreast of anything that turns up.Looking for one to coat tail the Beards and Bush primarily.

Ian,
I will give you a chance and leave McCarron alone this week. But please let me know the first week you decide NOT to wager on him. I know what usually happens the first time you leave them out...:D

For me Justin Leonard looks a contender... missed the cut last year (70 71 was not too bad) but can offer two runner-up slots before that and had a promising 6th at Bob Hope. Seen some 33/1 but hanging on for the magic four-0 ;)

Sadly, I do not think Betsmart were able to oblige many Leonard backers at 40/1! In their favour, they are layin gto bigger sums than they used to.

So, it's Leonard for me, Lickliter at 100, and Lehman 33/1 at Heathorns.

One or two firms have gone 40 Mediate, but they've been forced to shorten..he was 80 last year, as was Calc

Clive,
I hope your 40/1 Leonard at Betsmart is a wind-up.... only 33/1 when I was there at lunchtime (don't post your slip!). Had to make do with the 33/1.

Had to row in with the 33/1 Rocco, another one of those where if you leave him out, 2nd, 2nd & 1st, you kick yourself after. I am always prepared to speculate a couple of quid rather than suffer mental then physical abuse.

Noticed you also half-fancy Leaney as well.... Leonard 33 & Leaney 50 mmmmm..... a tasty 1733/1 Ladbrokes double

Had a few in mind for this.

Mediate, Leonard, Verplank DiMarco & Mayfair.

Love Mayfair at 100/1 Blue Square.

Verplank is generally 33's, not seen any bigger; will play at 33's if I have to, hoping for bigger.

Leonard also at 33's. Disppointing effort last year but good form on this track. Doesn't strike me as the 'earliest' of players but a Bob Hope 6th bodes well.

I can find no better than 33's Rocco ( Ian's up too early and nicked the 40's!). I had him at 80's last year. In all my golfing betting I've never felt so low as when watching Calc hose up. I'd be hard pushed to justify backing him at 33's this year.

In short, I'm on Mayfair and will probably play Verplank & Leonard.

Good Luck.

No wind up...the problem with Betsmart is that they'll trim after one bet, so it's pointless recommending them as a place to bet as nobody else will get on at the price.

The same happens with Multisports, but at least they'll lay a decent sum.

A few early 72 holes
Howell +100 over Duval @ Camelot
Singh + 100 over Duval @ Cascade
Funk -115 over Sutton @ Bet365

Hate to lay that much wood on Funk but Sutton has really regressed.

Not sold on Duval againsy ANY quality player especialy @ these odds. Remember past year you get usually get Mick at around pick'm vs him and that was a virtual annuity. Those days are gone temporarily as the only match I found on the 2 was
Mick -130 @ Bet365.

Adding Furyk -110 over Lehman @ Cascade
Lehman looked a little rusty on 1st event since 11-4-01

Also adding a couple 72 holes @ Camelot on "can't cut it" angle

Hnatiuk -115 over Waite
71%cut ratio vs 44% in 2001
Used this last week with Kraft vs Waite and got a push.

Geiberger -110 over Henry
72% vs 55%
Stat a little shakey here as Henry play much better a conclusion of 2001.

other dispairitys that I passed on.

Stankowski 73% vs Ogilvy 42%
Couldn't back a man that only busted 72 in one round on pitch and putt courses last week

Tway 86% vs Janzen 62%
Too big a course form edge on Janzen

Question don't know if this would be kosher.
With opposing Duval twice would using a to place @ Oly on him at 4/1 in a hedge as a match play stat rather than an outright be fair if you counted .5 units for loss and 2 units for win.

Rio,

You'll find 40s Verplank down my way. See profile for URL.

By the way UK gents, we like to push out our prices later in the week as the market gets more competitive, so remember to take a look at us on Thursdays.

Clive,

I feel like I can finally do the form properly now - this year's Bible has just arrived! But have been flat out with the tennis, so got one of my apprentices doing all the research....

Adding 2 match ups at GCS.
Mediate -140 over Couples
Janzen -120 over Tway.

Couples managed a 21st to Rocco's 27th last week but this must be Rocco's favourite course (2-2-1) compared to Coupes who played last year (23rd) for the first time in years.

Janzen had a bad year in 2001 but warrants an include on his course form compared to Tway's
Most recent first.....
Janzen m/c (141) 18th, 10th, 14th, 14th
Tway m/c (143) 61st, m/c, m/c, 34th
Both missed the cut at the Bob Hope with tied scores... don't bother looking too high up the leaderboard for the outcome.... hopefully Janzen can scrape the cut and that should be enough.
