Picks for the First Week of action

Alright all picks for the first week will be 1 unit

SC/Ark Under 52 - I have said over and over again, SC team this year is anything but proven and will be playing in the deep south to start off the season. Ark is returning 19 starters and wants this revenge game real bad. Ark defense is strong up front and even better in the back, they are def one of the most underated teams right now.

Louisville/Kentucky over 60 - Louisville offense could put up 60 alone on a weak but improved kentucky defense, but with the best return team in the SEC I think Kentucky will have a chance with a decent qb and decent rb to add a couple touchdowns to the score. This one will go over or wayyyyy under but I definitely think it will go over.

Pitt -4/Virginia, virginia looked so weak closing out last year and pitt had a very unlucky year, and have only gotten better in the offseason. I look for them to come out and control this game, I would lay up to 6, and as im typing this it is dropping to 3.5 so I will take the extra points and play pitt.

I think that will do it for now, i cannot wait to see Miami/FSU. I really hope miami takes them down but FSU looks very good especially at the end of last year.

Any thoughts or comments are welcome

Update 8/26 - I really like the under on the OKla/UAB game at 43. According to UAB coach they have a solid SEC defense, and that there is nobody in CUSA as fast as his team.

Oklahoma is the highest rated defense in the country and by quite a wide spread. They had a scrimmage in the spring and the score was in 30+ to 40+ and there was only 1 offensive TD!! I really like the first half under as well. This would be a 1unit play, but with the loss of starting OL and starting QB in the offseason for Okla, I like this play even more. Make it a 2unit play.

Maybe make a small hedge with an over/okla covering in case their defense blows UAB into the ground and returns a bunch of interceptions and nobody has answers for AP. But I definitely will be on the under in this one.

Oh and im adding pics each week to my plays for that week. I figure even if I cant pick winners I can provide something to you guys, and if I can pick winners then what a combo!

blg, I'm going to be on Pitt, don't like playing
overs in the first couple of weeks, but I do like
USC/Ark U52. I think that game will be a
defensive battle with both offences struggling,
especially in the first half. Will be curious to see
what the first half O/U line will be. I'm looking at
the first half under as a play.

GL to you to Kramer, why dont you like playing overs in the first week?

I have added Kent St +16.5 against a depleted Minnesota team. Just alot of points to give to one of the most improved teams in america and the team giving them has a big ? at running back and that is their head coaches bread and butter, it would be like denver broncos not having a rb.

blg, I don't like playing overs the first couple of
games because I feel it takes the offense a couple
of games to get on the same page and the
defenses have the easier task at hand. But there
are games that go OVER, and the Louie/Ken.
game could very well go WAY over. GL2U.

Edit to add something. I REALLY don't like the
overs in the NFL the first 2 or 3 games.

...just a comment about the OV/UN this year. Personally, I want to wait and see how the rule changes effect the game.... I'm thinking that until the oddsmakers catch up, the unders will be PV, but only time will tell. I agree with your plays and I love the pics.


However, I do have OK scoring in the mid-30's...but to your advantage, I can't really see UAB scoring at all. I'll call it 35-0. :shrug:

glad to see we are oon the same side taoist, i was worried about okla running away with it making it something like 42-0 35-7 and killing the under with returns on D, that is why i thought about hedgin the 2unit under with a 1unit on okla covering and parlaying it with the over, but then I thought, if im so confident about okla covering why not put 2 units on that instead?

So what there are my thoughts, what do you think you would do?Cause i dont think you are on Okla, but can u give me a convincg case not to be on them or the under or my parlay/hedge?

Oh and AR glad you enjoyed the pics but for you and others that havnt noticed, they are the same girl. I figured i would give you a couple views of her. So if you were thinking "Damn, i really like that blond in the first pic, i really wonder what she looks like in a wet tshirt," and then like magic, I read your mind and there she is. Trailed Ar last night with SDSU/UTEP under for 1 unit and missed, and luckily totally forgot about Kent St. so i didnt lose a unit there even though i do have an 0-2 start.

Took Hawaii off my card as i just cant pull the trigger against bama defense at home.

But i am adding No Ill for 1unit

Trailing AR with the Ark st/Army under for 1 unit

and then putting 1/2 unit on tenn just to make things interesting

Was going to play GT for 1/2 unit as well but line smelled real fishy i think ND wins by 10-14

Went 4-4 through the first weekend

SC def showed me something against Ark. They will be very good this year, I dont think Ark will be as good as preseason hype though.

Took the Kentucky/Louisville off the card due to the postponing.

Maybe next week I wont take 2 winners off my card, I hate that when you can't pull the trigger!


Will be gearing up for next week and probably be hitting Texas and the Over in that game. HOOK EM HORNS.
