funny you should mention that. many times we may be looking all week at say, a +3.5 dog which might come down to 3 and end up being a 2 1/2 at the contest. that is a big difference, and seems like all the lines are adjusted down.
having said that, and speaking from experience, running a contest is one tough number, and the last thing the contest master wants to hear is a lot of bitching, so i will adjust.
what you see is basically my teaser ticket, although a couple of parlays came out of it as well.
the giants is a must bet, especially at home. they have dominated philly and i don't see any reason not to jump on it. the hilton guys were kind of split on it and it bothers me a bit, but not much. if you think about it, if the game was in philly, the line would still be -3. it couldn't be anything else.
pitt, yes, i can see many of us have missed the nice ride. they look very steady right now, playing basic football, advancing the ball, making few mistakes. as i wrote on the other forum, tampa is worth 3 points for home field and that is it. now, pitt vs. a high octane team might be a diff. story.
the jets, well, what can i say? i like the way they froze miami, i like the way the giants handled stlouis, and the jets may have a big advantage with faulk out of the line-up. they have some nice film to look at and i expect they will be pumped up for this one as well.
the half-point with s.d. doesn't bother me; looking for an outright win here.
boy, i just wish i can get the monkey off my back this week.
