Between Green Bay and Iowa City
NCAA YTD
Sides: 6-3 (+3.2*)
Totals: 1-0 (+1.0*)

There are three I like . . .

LSU(-13) for 1.5*
I'll side with a very well coached LSU team with better talent, speed and balance to make things happen against lackluster Mississippi State as they open at home in defense of their SEC title.

West Virginia(-7) for 1.5*
One team looks to have something good going on while the other has had its hands full with anyone and everyone.

Auburn(-14') for 1.5*
The bunch from Syracuse has been bad, but they should have Auburn's attention off last year's beating, and Auburn has been delivering on the field. War Eagle.

---------- ---------- ----------

And there are two I'll be trying . . .

Iowa(+8) for 1*
The Hawks look on track for their Big Ten opener. Turnovers will likely write the story SU and ATS.

Iowa State(Pk)(+100) for 1*
I think ISU is primed and good enough to add to the comeuppance being served on Frank Solich's Cornhuskers this season.

IT'S GREAT TO BE A HAWKEYE!!!

Former Hawk and Kansas City Chief Ed Podolak is color analyst for Hawkeye radio broadcasts and I think of him as a whining homer, but he does know the Hawks. During Saturday's game, Podolak said that "when the radio team met with Coach Ferentz on Friday night, his jaw was so tight when he sat down I didn't think he'd be able to speak." I trust the coach's jaw found enough in Saturday's richly deserved victory to have a few smiles over it for at least one night.
