Game: Tulsa vs Kentucky
Tip-off: 5:35 pm ET
Line: Kentucky ? 6.5
Total: 143.5
Angles/Analyses:
Tubby Smith faces one of his former teams on Saturday when No. 4 Kentucky faces 12th-seeded Tulsa in the second round of the East Region.
Tulsa has a group of guards who can flat score, led by 6?-2? senior Greg Harrington who averages 15 pts per game and 5?-10? junior Dante Swanson . The frontcourt is also solid with 6?-7? junior forward Kevin Johnson averages 14.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 6?-7? junior Charlie Davis and 6?-8? Marquis LeDoux. The W average 82 points per game and run a very discipline offense. Tulsa finished the season strong, winning 12 out of 14 SU and 9-3 ATS. They also can perform on the road (11-4 SU, 9-2 ATS ). Tulsa is shooting .477% from the field, 40% from 3-point land and 75% from the free throw line. Tulsa beat a very good Marquette team 71-69 as a + 4 dog on Thursday while Kentucky is a poor free throw shooting team, connecting on just 67% of their shots from the charity stripe this season. Tulsa matches up well and should get the cover tonight.
Favorable Trends:
Tulsa:
16-6 ATS after 1 or more consecutive wins this season.
5-1 ATS after 2 straight games making 78% of their free throws or better this season.
5-0 ATS after a win of 6 points or less this season.
12-3 ATS after covering 2 of their last 3 against the spread this season.
10-3 ATS after having won 2 of their last 3 games this season.
16-6 ATS after having won 6 or 7 of their last 8 games this season.
5-0 ATS as a neutral court underdog over the last 3 seasons.
Pick2Play: Tulsa + 6.5 (4 units)

Game: Stanford vs Kansas
Tip-off: 8:05 pm ET
Line: Stanford + 6
Total: 162.5
Angles/Analyses:
The Kansas Jayhawks averted an historic upset by almost become the first top seed to make a first-round exit, holding off 16th-seeded Holy Cross 70-59 on Thursday night in the Midwest Regional. Holy Cross befuddled Kansas with a matchup zone all night, and stayed in it until the end despite shooting just 33.3 percent. Hinrich, the Jayhawks best playmaker, suffered a left ankle sprain in the game's first minute and did not return. He is listed as doubtful against Stanford and will most likely not play. This is a huge blow to Kansas and it will show today. Stanford will have the same game plan as Holy Cross:
If we allow them to run 94 feet, we're not going to have much success," Stanford coach Mike Montgomery said. "The teams that have had a little more success have gotten them into more of a halfcourt game and out of transition." Montgomery's team turned in perhaps its best effort of the season with an 84-68 victory over Western Kentucky in the first round. Stanford used its defense to limit the Hilltoppers to 35 percent shooting.
The Jayhawks may have a difficult time matching up with the 6-6 Jacobsen, who will have a size advantage against the 6-1 Boschee. The 7-0 Borchardt is also taller than any of Kansas' starters. Although we usually avoid playing against a team that has a key player out, (somehow the injured or suspended player?s team still covers the spread), Stanford should have a chance to win this game outright so we?ll take the generous 5 point line.
Favorable Trends:
Stanford:
3-1 ATS the last 4 gms
Kansas;
1-2 ATS the last 3 gms
Pick2Play: Stanford + 6 (5 units)
