The USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO193) was passing through the area when the six small power boats sped alongside. The Diehl is a support vessel with the Military Sealift Command, and does not look like a U.S. Navy warship at first glance... a gunner on the deck of the Diehl opened fire with a .50-caliber machine gun...

jeezuz freakinfg christmas!!!

we are still laughing our asses off over here at this latest attempt to remove themselves from the human gene pool.

what the hell were they going to do? steal the oil back they just got done selling us?

Dont be mistaken, you can tell its a USN vessel pretty distinctly. My guess is they thought since it was not a "surface combatant" there would not be much firepower on board, or the desire to put a few holes in the speedboats...

ah well, someday somebody is gonna catch on.
