Smart move.

Kershaw's been better than Wolf all year and certainly lately. He IS the Dodger ace, and the best pitcher in this series.

Kershaw vs. Hamels gives a big advantage to the Dodgers, especially with this being another day game for Cole.

I wouldn't be so fast to say this is a big advantage to the Dodgers. Cole hasn't been quite the same this year but you are forgetting two things:

1) Cole has been on this stage before, the 21 year old Kershaw has not.

2) Despite a down year, in Cole's two starts vs the Dodgers this year he allowed 1 run (a solo HR) in 16 IP, racking up 14 Ks to 1 walk.

Should the Dodgers be favorites? Sure I won't argue that. Is this a "big" pitching advantage? I don't think so.

PS the game is 5 PM.... not neccessarily a day game.

BEST PITCHER IN THIS SERIES ? :mj07:

Is Cliff Lee not pitching ? Kershaw is one walk away from implosion every inning.

Right, you certainly post a sub-3.00 ERA and a sub-2.00 ERA at home by being "1 walk away from implosion every inning".

Clayton Kershaw's FIP is better than Cliff Lee's this year.

The kid is 21 and has great stuff. But again he is 21, and I agree this is a huge stage. If he gets wild in the first inning he may get smoked!

I'll take a kid that currently has great stuff, and is a 1st timer..over a vet that hasnt had what made him domnate lastyear(there goes the vet status)...lets not forgtet how the phils fair verse lefties..thats the most important part for me, let alone a lefty with good stuff. I cant count on Kershaw folding under pressure or Hamels regaining it all back because he did it lastyear verse the dodgers. Gonna b fun
