Starting offensive lineman Matt Lehr for Falcons was suspended yesterday for Steroids.

Not sure if you saw the Giants game, but the Falcons offensive line was letting them get to Vick like matadors.

Falcons are going to start a guy off the scout team.:scared

Also Patrick Kerney tore his bicep muscle. Not sure if he will play, if he does he will be limited.

Falcons in some turmoil with the Steelers coming to town needing a win.

Steelers contain Vick, and run up the middle this game should be over.

Biggest difference on Steelers defense right now is Troy P. is healthy. His shoulder was banged up earlier in the season and you saw him basically playing with one arm. Their defensive schemes covered it up well with his coverages, but the blitz package and run tackling suffered. Troy was soft on blitzes and missed many many tackles. He is such a vital part to the blitz package and having him healthy and as close to 100% is always vital to this. He will force Vick out of the pocket many times here as no one is afraid of his arm. Some consider that most dangerous when you chase him out, but Steelers ends and backers are very fast and will contain. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out, but word around here is Steelers are going at Vick left and right this week.

As for the offense, you can finally see and hear the swagger back in Big Ben this week and see the confidence amongst the rest of the offense in turn. Team was walking on egg shells up until last week around Big Ben, no better time for him to finally break out when we most needed him too. Davenport added a great spark last week and will be utilized alot this week according to Cowher. They believe he will be effective in the second half pounding the ball and especially effective with short screens and short passes in the flat to counter Atlanta's run defense.

I know I'm a homer, but just passing along what info I can and gameplan to help out. Steelers over the years have been a streaky team. While under Ben though, once they get rolling they have a strong tendency to carry the momentum over. They are rallying pretty hard out hear and are more inspired this week with Cincy and Baltimore both losing this week. They can gain even more ground this week with the win as Cincy has another tough test against Carolina and the Steelers have somewhat of an advantage next week facing Oakland while Cincy and Baltimore face off against tougher opponents in Atlanta and the Saints.

Best of Luck.

fwiw, the falcons surprised a Steve Smith-less Panthers squad in week 1, beat the chris simm's bucks in week 2 & the Kurt Warner Cardinals in week 4. The falcons D is overrated, especially the secondary & on offense they don't have any wide receivers that don't drop the ball. Falcons are not a good football team & i can't see them keeping pace in the division which will come down to N.O. & Carolina w/ carolina a game back but already holding the tie breaker w/ N.O. No shame in the steelers losses to Jax & SD are elite teams in my opinion & Cinnci was in an enormous emotional revenge spot.... the vick shtick works a couple weeks every yr. (where he runs around like crazy) but his O-line is in total shambles & he is not a pocket QB. Falcons don't want to lose two in a row @ home but that won't be enough against a better Pitt team that is equally if not more desperate. g/l w/ your plays (you did well overall lw, continued success!)

Atlanta was in control of the Giants game. They just gave it away by getting away from what they do best.
The Falcons went ahead 14-3 in the third quarter after Warrick Dunn went 90 yards for a TD. The Giants respond with a TD, then held Atlanta to a three-and-out, including two incomplete passes. New York marches down the field again, scoring another TD. They now lead 17-14.
Atlanta takes over at the start of the fourth, down by three. First drive goes three-and-out, again featuring two passes, a sack and a shanked punt. A few plays later they are down 20-14 with 11:04 remaining, plenty of time for a clock-killing, go-ahead drive by the leagues top rushing team. Instead Mora calls these plays: Scramble, sack, scramble, punt. Two minutes run off the clock. The Giants take over, go on a five-minute scoring drive that featured six runs (out of nine plays).
From the point the No. 1 rushing team in the NFL took an 11-point lead, they called 19 passing plays and four rushes. Sometimes all a team needs to do is run the ball up the middle for no gain, and everything will be fine.

?FRACAS AT FLOWERY BRANCH

We?re hearing that there was a huge blowup in Falcon-land after Sunday?s loss to the Giants, and that the problems spilled over into Monday.

The issue arose shortly after the 27-14 loss to the Giants, when defensive coordinator Ed Donatell got in offensive coordinator Greg Knapp?s face regarding the inability of the offense to sustain drives, which resulted in the defense being on the field for too long.

Word is that Donatell blamed several injuries sustained by his troops on the poor play of the offense, because the defensive players were exhausted late in the game.

We?re also told that, on Monday, owner Arthur Blank summoned Donatell and Knapp to his office, and that Blank wouldn?t allow head coach Jim Mora inside the room until Blank had a chance to talk with them. After the four men met, Knapp was angry ? and word is that Knapp is openly blaming the performance of the offense on the limited passing skills of quarterback Michael Vick.

Got this from a blog , not sure if its true or not.

Seems about right.
