I actually like her as an actress (sings ok too, but I hate rap/hip-hop). I've never seen the commercial though. I also think she is attractive. Not my favorite, but not the ugliest out there.

My mother was her 4th grade teacher, said she was a real punk growing up. (But based on the neighborhood that was the norm, and not something to really hold against her, since it was standard)
Maybe she has changed, it seems that she has, and done very well with the talent that she has.
