Hi, guys.

I?m old and can?t or don't want to drive like past summers. We (me, wife, and two kids) are looking to spend a couple of weeks in the New York area. We haven?t flown since 2007. Please give suggestions on ways to purchase plane tickets and car rental. We would like to leave from DFW either this Wednesday or Thursday.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Go here:

You should have bought your air over 2 weeks in advance.

Flying from dfw, u also need to go to the southwest site and search because it will not populate on the kayak search.

Forget SWA, it's inside 2 weeks, will cost way too much.

lol it was obvious
i would recommend kayak or momondo for both cheap plane tickets and car rental!
It's best to book 1-2 months in advance.
Good luck!

I'm always curious how the first post of a newbie is a response to a thread over a year old. How does that happen? Can u enlighten me? Thanks.

So how does a bot grab a post from a year ago? Is it programmed to search for key words and post a canned response?

Yep.

The real good bots make ya think for about three seconds.

Of course the big giveaway is the "bot post" is usually their first post (or 2nd/3rd/4th).

New York City is not for me. Too damn crowded. The wait for any of the major attractions is just not worth it.

Going to camp in Yellowstone National Park this summer.

It is a script. Code designed to find keywords and post a pre-written line of text to generate interest and or clicks. It's a stupid ass way of marketing (and sometimes used as a "black-hat" way to boost another sites SEO).
