Going with a group of around 10, guys and gals, for my girlfriends birthday.
Our Travel Agent suggest, Treasure Island, Mandalay Bay, New York New York, Monte Carlo
Want to stay at a central location on the strip.
She wants to know which has the best pool, most fun, and then gambling.
I am interested in best comps and sports books.
Any other tips or must do's for first timers are also appreciated.
Thanks for the help.

I should preface that by saying it meets most of your qualifications-sportsbook-pool, at the end of the strip by mono will get you anywhere on the strip.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Shopping...for the gals

Shopping...for the gals

Fashion Mall near Treasure Island

Big shopping area across from Bellagio,Next to Planet Hollywood, entrance to a hundred variety stores...

Outlet mall a few miles south of Mandalay Bay (past airport rent car return)great deals on clothes and shoes.

COMPS..good luck....make a sportsbook bet ask for a drink coupon..
Bellagio used to have wonderful drink comps at poker tables, giant strawberry daiquiris....you name it, they had it; have not been there in last couple years...
I had a fuss with a casino about a bottle of water, wanted $3.00, flagged down a cocktail waitress, ( a dying breed) free for a buck tip.

The "bean counters" have ruined Vegas for comps of any magnitude for the average player.

Temperatures in 60's, nites a very cool high 30's....don't think you need to worry about outdoor pools.

I would consider a rent van and check out Downtown and outlying
casinos...Valets are $2.00 tip on pick-up of vehicle...

outlying casinos are proven better odds on slots, and many such as Downtown El Cortez (a 40's throwback) offer double deck $3.00 BJ and pay 1.5 to one on blackjacks..many strip are 6-5 now.

Enjoy your visit, there is something for all tastes.

You want to stay between 14-30 for location.

Cheapest will be 15-25 on Harrahs side of the road.

Spend money for Bellagio and Mirage and Venetian.

Forget Mandalay Bay unless you want to spend a lot for cabs or walk your ass off.

Lots to do walking between 12-30. LOTS!
