Michigan captain Lester Abram:

"It's not like we're going to go out there and lose on purpose -- whatever happens, happens," captain Lester Abram said. "You're happy you're still playing, but nobody wants to play in the NIT.

"It's something you have to do, though."

4th game in 6 days with lots of travel. that cant be good for USU. i cant imagine the trip from UtahSt to NMSU and back and then to Ann Arbor was easy either. These arent exactly locations with huge airports with direct flights to and from.

and 3 mentally and physically draining back to back games for Utah St too...and to come so close to the big dance.

that's hard to get "up" for, especially when you dont have the crowd behind you.

My contact at the UM ticket office says less than 800 tickets sold so far. Crisler Arena will be empty tonight.

BTW, everyone in town expects Amaker to be fired after the NIT.

I am hoping I'll get the same news out of Iowa City as you hope to get out of Ann Arbor :mj07:

And it doesn't matter how much travel USU or anything else they have to go through to get to this game; Michigan(and the rest of the Big-10) are horrible this year. I'm grabbing the points, but I'm also putting a few units on the ML. And the under looks good, too.

At least you guys have seen the tournament under Alford!

I've graduated college, gotten married and had two kids since the last time Michigan played in a tourney game!!

I think they may be tired, but the did charter from Las Cruces directly to Logan late saturday night after the game. Got into Detroit last night around 10:30 and in their hotel by 11:15.

It will be interesting to see how each team responds, with USU being potentially drained physically and emotionaly and UM frankly not caring.

Sounds like there will be nobody at the game and that could really play into USU's hands.

I think it is too many points and going with the Aggies.
