No need to over analyze this game - Rams are definitely the superior team.
Offensively they are streets ahead of the Pats. So will the Pats D be enough to keep them in the game?
I don't think so. They have given up plenty of yardage during the year but not many points - ie great red zone D. Can't see that saving them today - Warner and Faulk can strike from outisde that zone and will be equally tough to hold from close range.
To have any chance, the Pats need to run the ball effectively, taking time off the clock and the pressure of Brady. I just don't see Antowain Smith and the Pats O line capable of doing that.
If they have to rely on Brady or Bledsoe it could be a long day for the D. Yes Brady has done superbly well for a rookie but the Pats offence has been pretty anaemic for a while now and this is the Big Show - a big ask for a rookie QB to lead his team to victory.
I'm not usually a big fan of looking at line movement and watching for "traps" either. But what has happened this week has intrigued me.
As Nolan, said, 15 was a real strange number for the books to open with. I believe it was done solely with the reason of attracting Pats backers and limiting the amount of plays they would receive on the hotly favoured Rams, giving it was a spread of more than 2 Tds.
I wasn't too surprised the line dropped to 14 but almost fell out of my chair when I saw a few -13.5s. I think that line presents the Rams backer with a wonderful opportunity - hence the rare 2-unit play.
The under HT play is because I believe the Rams will get stronger and more dominant as the game progresses and the chances of a blowout are relatively high - hence not playing the under total for the full game.
I honestly believe the Pats will struggle to score many points today.
But hey, who knows - I could be wrong by a friggin' mile and it wouldn't surprise me much
Like I said, been a good season for me and very enjoyable.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank every MadJacker who contributed something useful to the forum this year - it is truly appreciated.
And if any of you lucky bastards who are in Las Veags at this moment are reading this :moon: , I'm sure you don't need any arms twisted but hey, have one :drinky: for me, will ya?

Best of luck everybody
