Ok some of his number are ugly, but I cant deny Justin Masterson in this spot. He's striking out more than 10 batters per nine innings while inducing ground balls 60 percent of the time, something no other starter in the major leagues has done!!! . His batting average on balls in play is a ridiculous .404..a number that has to come down at some point...this is why I cant say no to a home matchup versus the Kansas City Royals .
-Lefties are hitting .338 versus Gil Meche.
-Billy Butler is 1-10 vs Masterson.
-Hafner is hitting .283 with three home runs (and a .943 OPS) in 60 at-bats against righties. He's a career .290 hitter against Gil Meche, who's been awful this year. Love the chances of hafner having a big game, helping us cash this ticket.
Texas -163
Rich Harden is an up and down guy I back only when the matchup says to. Just as easily as they guy can get lit up...he can also pitch a gem....Rich , meet the Baltimore Orioles, they are second-to-last in OPS against right-handers.
-Rich harden has held righties to a .203 avg this year. Adam Jones has an awful 31-2 strikeout-to-walk ratio against right-handed pitching in 125 at-bats.
Arizona -151
Three straight quality starts and an above-average strikeout rate, Ian Kennedy I see you... His fault was giving up the long ball but with only three allowed in his past 28 innings He shouldn't have a problem picking up his fourth straight quality start against this weak San Francisco Giants lineup.
AS always best of luck buds... Have a good feel for all these games today ,...and had leans on Padres and brewers as well...any questions feel free to ask
