There is one handicapping method that I have used in the past with some success. I pick my own consensus staff. I try to keep it to only 3 or 4 people. If one of those cappers has the other side of the play I am planning to make, I call it a VETO and don't make the play. This was taught to me by someone who has spent years researching football. It is relatively simple to follow and will often be successful. For example, let's say I have chosen Nolan, Fletcher, Michael(ibettor) as my consensus. If I plan to bet the ,but one of these three has the other side, I just don't make the bet. These are all guys who spend far more time researching than I do. These are all guys that back up their picks with their own cash. In short, they usually know better than I do, so why buck the trend? It is frustrating when you back off a loser, but I saed myself more often than not.
