I've been getting the same thing. I don't open anything that I don't know of . Then all of a sudden I get these "remove me from your list" etc. I don't know what ones are legit and what aren't so I deleted them all, but haven't gotten any from you Jack, none of the names I recognize at all.

Might be something set for New Years Eve or just some goofball screwing around.
It's a pain in the butt though, that's life I guess.

I'm in the same loop, Jack. I think that people are replying to the 'mo' master list and it goes out to everybody on the list.

I've gotten about 13 replies to 'take me off your ****en list', but I think these people don't know that it's going to everybody else on the list, as well as to Eric.

Pain in the ass.

I think its the holidays.I received several of the snow white and a couple others past 2 days.Did away with McAffeees when I had problems last month and got Nortons full blown package firewall and all an been much happier. Also went to Eudora for email on office computer thinking that would cut back on MS adapted virus but got two sent to it also.
If they "hacked" off a few fingers of these hackers we wouldn't have to put up with the BS.

I must be doubly cursed then, because I have BOTH the contest one and the Snow White one. I agree, pain in the ass. Getting 20-30 e-mails a day asking to be deleted from the list--
Also, I'm not sure my e-mail is sending messages, either. Anyone know what might be wrong with it? I know its not much info. to go on, but I'm technologically clueless.....

I got this same message twice yesterday. There is a way (somehow) for people to glean your site for e-mail addresses MJ. I was sent some information about this once, I'll see if I can find the info and e-mail it to you.

I can't figure out why you're getting the replies though. The e-mail in question had no attachments and no VB script as far as I could tell.

I've also recieved the Snow White email 2 times and the one from E twice. I just looked, and I had a message from a guy telling me to take my name off a list and another from somebody named dodona telling me that I sent her a virus, lol!!

Eric is really an ok guy, Jack, and I'm sure he did not do this maliciously or on purpose at all. He has a history of trouble with viruses though, and I guess he just can't stop himself from opening up attachments. I'm starting a new thread about viruses.

I just spoke with Eric on the phone and I am positive that this wasn't done on purpose.

When people reply to that email to have themselves removed from the list, the whole list gets emailed.

The snow White thing was not sent by Eric. It was sent by someone on the list replying to the email. DO NOT open that file and don't reply to any email from him and this will die out shortly.

I have gotten the snow white virus 3 times in the past two days.....Buy Norton's "Internet security" software. It's made by a company called Symantec. I also used to have the McAfee virus protection software, but the Norton Internet security blows it away. It offers virus protection, a firewall, parental controls, and all updates for a year and it does it all automatically according to a schedule you set. It is really nice IMO.
