hello european wimps!..........can you hear those chains rattling?

i`ll save some the trouble of parroting the soviet party line on the issue..."they are just protecting the oppressed citizens of georgia with the latest ballistic missiles"...

well....thankfully, the rest of the countries on mother russias' borders are lining up for the american defensive missile shield, lest they, too, become "protected"..........

/o.t....note the direction of oil futures now that the u.s. is merely DISCUSSING possible drilling...in spite of russia`s actions...the dollar, too......

wonder why russia is becoming so wealthy?...vodka exports?...

drill here...drill now!

I'm hearing off the radio that Europe is now taking a kindler gentler look at her old buddy the USA. The Russian's can have that kind of effect on them.

The bear is back. This time with lots of money and pride.

GW American missile defensive shield??? Your not buying in are you? You mean like the one Poland is going to have? 10 total missiles that will only go hot if Iran ever tests missiles with war head able to reach Poland. Thats the deal made with Russia to keep it's shorts on. Per our SEC of Def. They are passing the cool aid again.

Personally don't think the initial discussions of oil drilling here has had much effect, if any, on the current futures. Considering how long it would be before there was any oil hitting the market from this pending legislation. I would say the rising dollar has a direct effect on the price of oil, and that has been proven over and over again. I'd say the parts in the proposed legislation by dems that would add some controls and monitoring of the oil speculators might have as much, if not more immediate impact on the current price. Maybe they think if they back off, they might be left alone. I think shining the light right on those people is EXACTLY the right thing to do.

not to tough to figure out how everything works in unison...

the dollar and oil are linked...the more we buy foreign oil, the weaker the dollar gets...the weaker the dollar gets, the more it costs to buy foreign oil.....

turn it around...the less we buy foreign oil, the stronger the dollar gets...the stronger the dollar gets, the less it costs to buy foreign oil...

the more we drill, the less money we send overeas to despotic regimes.....

go figure...

drill here...drill now..

drill/drill/drill. don't buy it. reason there are no rigs avalible. true story first deep ocean rigs they would need are 4 years out. then almost a year to bring it on line. cracking down on the speculators has helped price drop and less demand.
