ACTUALLY they knew that GENO in OHIO, had an under 54 teaser so they WENT FOR the TWO earlier and then with 1:11 left and hope for a MIRACLE on the Road in GREEN BAY, having not been able to score more than 3 points in the ENTIRE fvckng first half and ONLY 15 POINTS in the prior 28 minutes and 40 some seconds prior to putting the BOOT TO THE FOOTBALL FOR THAT FG,

THEY PLANNED ON SCORING 17 POINTS IN LESS THAN ONE MINUTE AND 20 SOME SECONDS give or take a miserable tick or two.

YEAH RIGHT DREAM BIG

Fv@k the bears, u r dam right I am pissed :mj07:

admittedly, im drunk. but explain to me why they kicked that filed goal?

You are 100% right on I went on a major verbalization rant at my brothers house. My 10 year old ran downstairs and wanted to know what was happening. I explained to everyone there I had Packers first half and was explaining point spreads. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever to do what bears were trying to do. I also made my point why Gov Scott Walker was a hero to me and why liberalism is a mental disorder. It was a very very very merry Christmas.

It was the right decision based on the score... had to score 3 times regardless. However, most coaches know the point spread and would have gone for it.

A failed TD attempt would eliminate all mathematical possibilities to tie the game. It's more likely (although close to impossible) to score 2 times in one minute than 3 times. Personally I think it's not done at times so coaches don't suffer through questions about their reason for using such strategy..............Does anyone remember the Steeler/Oakland playoff game in mid 70's when a long field goal gave Oakland a backdoor cover in a similar situation?

FG

FG

I to had GB so was glad they did what they did, but why not kick that FG when they had 2:17 and 1 timeout left? that would have made some sort of sense to me. Glad to get the win but shocked they did what they did. God bless you Lovey!!

Chicago's mistake was not kicking the FG as soon as they got into range w/ b/t 2 and 3 minutes left

Still had at least 1 timeout if not 2 and the 2 minute warning - really should have gotten the FG out of the way asap

Hah! Yeah, i was politely asked to drop it and to ease off the scotch after about 15 minutes of vulgarities...

And Burns is the winner. Thats correct Burns but a lot of coaches wait too late to kick the FG. They wait too late and still kick the FG. It was the right call it just came too late.
