I just came across this podcast last week and have been going through older episodes. Great conversations.
Currently listening to the interview with Paul Rudd and they got into a topic I think about ALL the time: things I want to learn how to do but really don't even try because the time and effort required seem too daunting.
Things I would like to learn but seems like it is too daunting:
-playing guitar
-learning a foreign language (although I do try to get into Spanish once a year).
That got me to thinking about things I've invested a lot of time into and got good at:
-Golf (it's all relative but I think I'm pretty good)
Things I've invested a lot of time in to and was either not good at it or just lost interest:
-wine making
-running and other workout activities
-reading. I was reading a lot and then podcasts came around and I've been getting into those. I feel like it's the lazy way out but it's not like I'm listening to recaps of the Kardashians or the Bachelor.
Things I've picked up along the way that I enjoy and/or feel like I'm getting decent at:
-Cooking
-Handyman type stuff
