Bowling Season.....should be fun.....lets all make some cash over the next couple of weeks.....i am starting with the following:
Navy-Utah.....Over 63.....1 unit.....Navy likes to do two things: run the triple option and give up points. While the former keeps the clock ticking and makes betting overs a bit a bit risky, I feel there will still be more than offense in this game to get the total points higher than today's number.
Navy has allowed 41 or more points in 7 of its 12 games this year. Offensively, they've produced at least 30 in ten games and have gone over the 40 mark five time. Here are some of the highlights of Navy's "defensive" efforts this year and the shootouts that have ensued:
*They plowed for more than 500 yards rushing, yet lost a game to Ball St in a game that saw 65 total points scored in a 34-31 BSU win.
* They scored 52 points, but lost 59-52 to 1-aa runner up Delaware.
*They played three games this year where both teams surpassed the 40-point mark.
* How can anyone forget the amazing 74-62 regulation score win over North Texas.
Yes, Utah has a very solid D, but they are far from an elite squad. Navy's offense has rarely been contained by anyone over the last few years, and Utah wont overwhelm Navy on sheer talent alone. Only Rutgers and Wake Forest have kept Navy below 30 this year, but in those games--especially Rutgers--Navy killed themselves w/ turnover or they would have pushed into the 30s. If those mistakes are avoided, there's no reason to think they wont get to 30 points and this Over will hit easily as I dont think Navy will stop Utah many times tonight. The Utes spread attack should knife through Navy all night.
The winner of Navy games this year has averaged more than 43 points a game this season. Tonights victor should approach that number in game where both teams should at least hit the 30 mark. Navy has a great shot covering this game, but I do think Utah will definetly win. The score could be 44-30 Utah or just as possible 41-38 Utah, so I'm sticking right now on just the Over play.
Good Luck Bowling to all my fellow Madjackers!!
