Stupid thread probably, but let's hear the strangest or most unlikely you've seen while playing poker......online or live.

My personal best and I'll probably never see this again, but in a tourny with 8 people remaining, saw a guy nail quad's in back to back hands and not only that, but both times it was quad 6's! Anyone care to figure odds on that happening?? Luckely I was not involved in either of those hands :D

2nd most unlikely experience......Playing ole MADJACK heads up for 1st place in a 334 player multi tourny at partypoker. (Unlikely because I was there)

C'mon Jack....you know you got lucky  I mean you only had what?? A 10-1 chip stack lead on me after you cleaned up the rest of the whole final table! Of course he cleaned me up as well :(

Playing at a social club one night and some guys wife came in grabbed him by the ear and yanked him off the table and out into the parking lot.

Just thinking about it makes me laugh, seeing a 50-year old guy totally humiliated by his old lady. Needless to say, he never showed up again. :mj07:

two different hands come to mind.
The first, I was playing in... omaha hi/lo.
on the turn, i hit a straight flush, A-2-3-4-5 of diamonds

on the same turn, a real hothead across from me made 4 aces.

He was a kind of omaha player that loved to keep on throwing chips in the pot when he had high hand. So on the turn we capped it, and on the river we went in for quite a bit more since it was head up and the raises were not limited.

He was mad when I showed him the steel wheel.

He was really madder when there was no bad beat jackpot in the house.

The second, I was a railbird for.
7 stud - 10/20 game at Foxwoods.
6 players.
All 6 players were rolled up with trips on the first three cards.!!!!!!!
Betting capped, every hand to the river.
Only one guy filled up.
And he started with trip dueces!

If I get time, I will post some of the craziest people I have run into at games before, and the things they did.

Hey NDNFan.......How about Clay bringing those Susan B. Anthonys to the game that one night.....I'll never forget it!!

Another was when we were at your brothers and Junior's wife kept calling him and bitching at him loud enough for all of us to hear. He was drunk off his ass and she was pissed and he just kept saying "yeah, I'll leave as soon as this hand is over." She'd call back twenty minutes later and it would be the same thing. This went on for at least and hour and a half. The last time she called he says " I don't know, let me ask them......Are you guys gonna pay for my DUI if I get busted on the way home?" At this point, we're all just laughing out freakin asses off and he says to her "I guess that means no" and hangs up on her.....I just about shit myself on the spot.

First one that comes to mind was watching someone draw the last queen of the deck to fill an inside straight playing 5 card....

Second one was a dealer at a Caribbean Stud table....someone asked him what the best hand was that he ever beat....he said he beat a 10 high straight with a jack high straight.

Talk about a kick in the toolbox for the player.

We occasionally play "guts" with three cards, deuces wild.....winner takes the pot and the loser or losers pay the pot....play with a dummy hand of four cards, dummy is automatically in, all his four cards count, you have to beat the dummy to take the money, if not, you pay the pot also. (no straights or flushes, just 2 or 3 of a kind and high card)

Have seen 4 aces in the dummy on at least 4 occasions. If you stayed you most definitely payed on those four occasions......

I know I have had worse, but it will be a long time before I forget that tourney last sunday that I really thought I could have won.

pocket kk vs pocket qq and a queen comes on the flop, that flop cost me $67k, I would have been the chip leader... man oh man is that gonna stick w/me along time...

I was getting shortstacked in a tourney at Stars and was dealt JJ. Pushed in hoping to buy blinds and antes. The tourney's chip leader was at my table and he called. Figured I was going to be 50-50 unless he had 10-10 or 9-9. Nope, he's got AA. Not feeling too good about this one.

Flop comes rainbow, rag, rag, ace. Really, really not feeling good. No shot at a straight, no shot at a flush, and he's got a set of aces so my tournament is over.

But it's not. Jack on the turn. Jack on the river. Runner-runner quads to beat his aces full. Dude had to have been just pissed.

Shadow...can't stop laughing after you brought these times up again :mj07: remember it like it was yesterday!

KotysDad...thanks for figuring that! Guess I won't ever be seeing that in my lifetime again.......you just never know in poker though.

At the Taj in Atlantic City, new dealer sits down and deals a guy quad 10's, two hands later she deals him quad 7's, no tip either time and now he decides it's time for a break?!? I'm not leaving that table till they pry that dealer away from me or I get her phone number, and he takes a break?

Flop comes KKA Turn A River A

I get beat with KKKK by AAAA

Wasn't in bad beat section... thats the worst part of it.

I uninstalled Party Poker for a month.

Woodson, wait that is my name...

Anyway, the hand you described would not have qualified for a bad beat jackpot. Both players have to use both their hole cards and the guy that beat you only used one. Tough beat nevertheless

I have a question for you wareagle concernin the bad beat jackpot, lets say in the above example woodson had 99 and the flop was 99A turn A river A and the other guy had AK, would that qualify for the jackpot since technically his hand is AAAA with K kicker against the quad 9's? In the real example the guy with the four A's has to use the K on the board as his kicker, but what about my example above?

That qualifies since the K would be a higher kicker than the 9.
