Do any people work a poker table in teams? You might not win as much money but you'd have a better chance of winning if 2 or 3 people were working together.
Are there advantages to this?

Ok,

This is a rather unethical thing to do. And if you are caught trying to pull off this stunt.... well.... say goodbye to your money and your fingers. At least around where I play anyway.

Now, having 3 people work a table is overkill. Having 2 people work it can be done. And yes, it can be profitable in the short term. You may get it to work for one session for sure, two sessions is slim and then you can kiss all your action goodbye as people will wise up to it.
Now, it is VERY tough to conceal. At the higher limit tables people playing there are smart enough to know when they are being had. At the lower limit tables... well... is it worth the risk of being caught and banned from the casino for an extra $6 bet?
highly doubt it.

Trying to pull off a stunt like this is ludicrous, unethical, and just plain dumb... and potentailly painful.

and why would you want to split your hard earned winnings with some goon? Just learn the game and keep bettering yourself so you dont have to rely on working a team. You would be surprised how well you can actually do.

This was the main reason I thought serious poker players would not team up.

And Marine, I wasn't thinking about doing this "team" thing. I was just curious.

My mother saw someone get banned for life, at the trop in A/c, for taking an ace off the guys cards next to him. He played regularly and, I guess, he just had some kind of aneurysm and wigged out. The casino wouldn't even considering a shorter ban.
LIFE!

Thanks for your help.

i hoped not! L* Given that you seem to be a pretty decent guy on here I had a tough time believing someone from here would pull off a stunt like that.
Playing that way is most disgusting for money...

Now however, if you and a friend happened to be staying at a sorority house and playing strip poker with a gaggle of beauties.. then by all means do everything in your power to win!
