beleive it was reated from a video game, the opening dialog or scene. can't remember the name of the game wing something i believe. maybe remeber tomorrow. think i'm close though.

That flash originated from a Sega Genesis game called Zero Wing that came out around 1989. The first part of the flash was the actual intro in the game (although there were no voices saying the words in the game). The game was originally in Japanese and back then it was not considered a big deal for Japanese video game companies to have good English translations when they released the game to the english speaking world.

That flash has been out for a few years now after it became a hit in the internet community almost overnight. Here is a scanned article from Time Magazine that briefly explains. The Link
