The Denver Nuggets will look to cool the red-hot Portland Trailblazers tonight at Pepsi Arena.

The Nuggets are a horrible 8-26 SU and mediocre 17-17 ATS this season. Denver beat Miami 86-76 Wednesday to snap a two-game losing streak and have shown some signs of improvement in covering 4 of their last 5. They will need a repeat of their efforts the last time these teams met when they killed the Blazers 41-23 on the boards and 60-24 points in the paint.

Portland are an impressive 21-13 SU and 18-14-2 ATS. The Blazers beat the Spurs 90-87 last night at home but failed to cover. Now they have to face a possible let-down situation traveling to play the lowly Nuggets in the second of back-to-back games and third in four nights. Fatigue will be a factor late in the game, especially since this one will be played at altitude.

While the Blazers have been victorious in 7 of their last 10 road games only once have they won by more than tonight's line of 8 points. In fact their average winning margin has been 4.6 points while their three losses were by 1, 15 and 22 points.

Some may argue 'revenge' in Portland's favor tonight since the Nuggets won 96-79 the last time these teams met, but that has definitely been factored into tonight's line so it fails to provide any edge to the bettor.

Denver have covered an amazing eight straight times in this series and would you believe have won the last five at home outright? So getting 8 points tonight is more than enough for us and although this definitely won't be the best game to watch on tonight's action-packed NBA card we feel it represents an excellent money-making opportunity and that's what we're here for!

While Portland are hot we expect a low-scoring game and will back the home dog Nuggets to keep it close enough to get the all-important cover.

Good call on Den. I think you covered most of the bases on the write-up. Good luck tomorrow
